Quick thing about Fate Hax im curious about.

Depending on how potent or versatile the fate manipulation in question is, does it allow you to bypass a character's resistances to other taxes?

ah yes the thing every character has to deal with, taxes azathot cowers in fear of their majesty
no it will not let you bypass resistances unless it has a) been shown to do that in verse b) works in a really specific way

Even if, say, your fate manipulation is imagination based where anything you imagine becomes your new fate?

Oh this is more in general curiosity I had for future reference. But basically, in this case the fate hax is nonsensically busted where you manipulate fate using your imagination.

So its the "whatever I imagine becomes this fate" kind of fate hax instead of just, well, your run of the mill fate hax or fate hax that's limited to already existing possibilities.

yeah that is subjective reality based fate hax it seems so it could in theory bypass someone's resistance with the fatehax
