Fallout Courier Six, 8-C to 8-B upgrade

So, I was thinking of giving a bit of an update to the Courier's feats. Since it's a rather large page, I am going to split it into parts, which will go like this:

1. Speed
2. Durability
3. Attack Potency

1. Speed:

The Courier is able to react to gunfire, putting him at subsonic with transonic combat speed and reactions. He can also tag other opponents as fast as him, putting him at supersonic+. Laser weapons and such hit with a speed of light, but he still has to be able to hit his opponent. This is evident at the current iteration of the Courier on vsbattles: https://vsbattles.fandom.com/wiki/The_Courier

However, that is only a tip of iceberg. Even in the base game, the character gets access to a drug called 'Turbo', which I linked here: [https://fallout.fandom.com/wiki/Turbo]. It basically triples the speed of the Courier (attack speed, movement, etc). It does have a downside, as it is addictive, but you can also get a perk called implant GRX, which I linked here: [https://fallout.fandom.com/wiki/Implant_GRX]. It doesn't just 'slow down the time' (perception of it), it also accelerates the Courier, making him able to move, act and fight around 3 times faster.

This means the Courier would get up to supersonic with the drug alone with supersonic+ reaction speed, meaning, he is even faster now. And while we cannot combine all the possibilities and builds of the Courier, due to their sheer amount, it's still worth noting.

Another thing that the Courier can do is become even faster than he already is thanks to radiation and a perk called, Atomic, linked here: [https://fallout.fandom.com/wiki/Atomic!]. It makes him 25% faster (while being irradiated) and can be triggered by eating irradiated food that lasts for a moment, like coyote meat: [https://fallout.fandom.com/wiki/Coyote_meat]. Those things can stack.

So, combined with turbo and his base speed (157,074766 m/s), the Courier can move at a speed of 560 m/s, putting him at mid tier supersonic. But even without it, he still moves at supersonic speeds and supersonic+ reaction speed with the drug alone.

2.Durability:

The Courier has got some of the most impressive feats of all Fallout protagonists.

First, let's look at what is already there, Euclid C Finder: https://vsbattles.fandom.com/wiki/Euclid's_C-Finder. The power of the weapon puts it at 8-C and it's something the Courier can survive as evidenced here: [].

This would put his durability at least 8-C, as he can survive it. However, that's not his only feat, as there is something just as impressive, X-42 Giant Robo Scorpion: [https://fallout.fandom.com/wiki/Robo-scorpion#X-42_giant_robo-scorpion]

To put into perspective how big that thing is here is a picture of it standing next to the Courier: [https://www.nexusmods.com/newvegas/images/46381]

Some time ago there was a discussion of how much energy would it take to turn that thing into dust. While I cannot find the source and the user, I do have it copied and I will quote it below:

"Going to calculate its "main body" (Torso and tail, excluding the 'stinger') as a pyramid and assume about 80% hollowness due to some empty spaces left due to how it is calculated as well as the fact that it would be logical to assume that the robot would have some form of hollowness. This will be a huge lowball, so it can most likely be much higher than this if I were to try and calculate every single part.

Firstly, we simply need to subtract the stinger length from the total overall length of the scorpion, which would be relatively simple.

Stinger length: 201.2 pixels

1323 - 201.2 = 1121.8 pixels

1121.8 x 0.838862559 = '''941.036018686''' centimeters

The length (extending from head to tail) will be used as the height of the pyramid)

I will use a different image to find the width and 'length' of the scorpion, now:

Apologies for no text, apparently text screws up drawing, so I had to delete the text and draw inside of a text box, but the pixel lengths are listed below:

Bright green line (Player height): 123 pixels.

Crimson/red line (Scorpion face height/width of pyramid): 158.7 pixels

Purple line (Scorpion face width/length of pyramid): 264.5 pixels

Doing the same thing as above:

177 / 123 = 1.43902439 centimeters per pixel

1.43902439 x 158.7 = '''228.373170693''' centimeter 'width'

1.43902439 x 264.5 = '''380.621951''' centimeter 'length'

Now to simply multiply the three values by one another and then divide the total by three.

(380.621951 x 228.373170693 x 941.036018686) / 3 = 27266155.3342 cm^3, or 27.2661553342 m^3

Now, since it's a robot and that I might have left some open air spaces as I've stated above, I'm going to assume 80% hollowness.

27.2661553342 x 0.2 = 5.45323107 cubic meters.

Assuming steel - steel's density ranges from 7750 kg/m^3 to 8050 kg/m^3, I will average this out to 7900 kg/m^3.

7900 x 5.45323107 = '''43080.5255''' kilograms total.

Using the latent heat(vaporization) value for iron - which is 6213627 joules per kilogram- since steel is not listed, but this works for now.

6213627 x 43080.5255 = '''2.67686316e11 joules''', or 63.9785650095602 tons of TNT

'''City Block level+''' Courier, jesus christ.

Now, take in mind, that was with a tri-beam laser rifle - a slightly stronger version of the laser rifle - without any actual perks boosting its efficiency. So, in theory, the Courier can easily kill it with an even lower amount of shots, depending on the weapon, of course."

Now, it's the very basic of laser rifles and the Courier can get much stronger and his opponents get better weapons (gauss rifle, etc), but it also links to the third part, attack potency. However, it can wait, as there are a few more things to take into account, including, you guessed it, drugs.

While, it is per gameplay only, it has been part of the lore since Fallout 1. Allow me to introduce you to 'Psycho': [https://fallout.fandom.com/wiki/Psycho_(Fallout)]. This drug in the Fallout 1 game, gave the user 50% damage resistance, basically doubling their durability.

In Fallout New Vegas it has got different role, but gets replaced with other powerful drugs, including: 'Med-X', 'Slasher' and Battle Brew linked below:

a) Med-X: [https://fallout.fandom.com/wiki/Med-X_(Fallout:_New_Vegas)]
b) Slasher: [https://fallout.fandom.com/wiki/Slasher]
c) Battle Brew: [https://fallout.fandom.com/wiki/Battle_Brew]

These drugs can combine their effects with one another, which leads to a grand total of 85% resistance. In Fallout New Vegas, the damage formula works like this (simplified): Final Damage = (Damage*(1-DR)) - Damage Threshold (minimum of 20%). So, to put into perspective a mini nuke that deals 600 damage but fired at the Courier with 36 DT and 85% DR would result in 600*0,15 = 90. 90 - 36 = 54 damage.

And a quick reminder, here is how hp can be calculated: [https://fallout.fandom.com/wiki/Hit_Points#Fallout:_New_Vegas]. Even with 1 Endurance at max level (50), the Courier can take at least 365 / 54 = 6,759 mini nukes before going down. And a Courier with 1 endurance and level 1 can still tank at least 2 mini nukes before going down.

And that's not taking into account things like perks or implants.

3. Attack Potency:

Now, the Courier is very reliant on his weapons to deal damage, but even basic laser rifle can turn x-42 giant robo scorpion into dust. In fact, depending on his/her loadout they can one hit kill the damn thing. How you may ask? Let me explain. First, let's take a look at stats of X-42 Giant Roboscorpion:

Health: 3500
DT: 30

That's a lot, most of the time, you can not kill the thing without some serious firepower. However, a melee focused character can one hit kill the robot and here is how:

-Old Glory (melee weapon, 45 base damage, 80 crit damage and 100 skill): [https://fallout.fandom.com/wiki/Old_Glory]
-Elijah's Ramblings: [https://fallout.fandom.com/wiki/Elijah's_Ramblings]
-Better Criticals: [https://fallout.fandom.com/wiki/Better_Criticals]
-Just Lucky I'm Alive: [https://fallout.fandom.com/wiki/Just_Lucky_I'm_Alive]

With a crit, this weapon deals 315 damage. A lot, but not enough. However, it has got special attack known as Grand Slam, which doubles it's damage, putting it at 630. Still a lot, but nowhere near as close. But, Sneak Attack Critical exists, which quadruples the melee/unarmed damage, if hidden. That's 630 * 4 = 2520. Now we are talking.

And then, there 2 more things:

-Ninja: [https://fallout.fandom.com/wiki/Ninja]
-Psycho: [https://fallout.fandom.com/wiki/Psycho_(Fallout:_New_Vegas)]

They increase the damage even further. What it means is that with Psycho, a crit with Grand Slam deals 630*1,25 = 787,5. And the Ninja? Well, it makes sneak attack critical even deadlier (times 5 not times 4).

In the end with this setup the Courier can deal 787,5 * 5 = 3937,5 damage. That's more than enough to kill the robot. So, there you have it, I hoped you enjoyed it and let me know what do you think?

I'm pretty sure we're not allowed to use In-Game Stats for Scaling unless the stats themselves are a Canon thing referenced by the Narrative or Characters. Other than that, you have my attention.

I see. In that case, here is a bit of proof:

1. Durability + attack potency:

a) Legate Lanius survives space laser (who the Courier is comparable to):

b) X-42 Giant Robo Scorpion turns into ash ( I was using AER32, better laser rifle, the standard one would still work and weaker as well, laser pistol included. It's not the strongest weapon he has got anyway). I also would like to point out that the Courier deals with enemies with energy weapons on a daily basis:

2. Speed:

Courier takes turbo and becomes much faster (his base movement speed would basically tripple, if we were to calculate how fast the enemies moved based on the video and how fast the Courier moves):

Basically, while I can not get any 'quotes' from the game, in Fallout 4 there is Jet that acts just like that. So it's confirmed in universe to exist (an effect to slow down the time, while retaining speed that is): https://fallout.fandom.com/wiki/Jet_(Fallout_4). From the jet page: "Using Jet creates an altered state of consciousness where time appears to slow, allowing you to perform more actions than normal for a limited period of time."

As much as I hate to bring the atrocities bugthesda did to the franchise.

3. Lifting Strength (same folder):

Any Courier with a 50 melee skill, can perform this attack and send a deathclaw flying. Which puts him way above athletic human:

I believe it can be scalled at least class 5. As considering how heavy those things have to be and the Courier being able to send one of them into air with a single strike.
