Existence Erasure Question

If is not done through Anti-Magic, it would be Void Manipulation. Actually, EE its a subpower of Void Manipulation.

Erasing magic from existence? Then yes by definition it would be some form of EE

If you are just negating someone's attacks by "erasing their magic" without further elaboration then no.

Negate is not the same as erase, Anti-Magic could do any of both effect but only over magic, although, we list it in the Power Null page.

Well with the verse in question. It's different from average anti-magic as that can only be succesfully cast before the magic is evoked or on much weaker enemies.

The character in question is suggested to be able to "erase" the magic of a much stronger character.

I would say Void Manipulation, although in any, what character/verse are we talking about?

@Anto "Erase" doesn't mean EE without context, based on just what's in the OP it could be negation as easily as it could be Existence erasure

Welp, you may right, as Erasure is more of an effect rather than a power itself. So, better talks us the nature of the power.

>Mio can use Darkness Magic to cancel out and an enemy's magic while it is being cast. In cases where she is significantly stronger than an enemy, she can even outright cancel an opponent's magic after it has been fully cast.

That is just negation. Not outright EE.

That's her normal magic negation, it doesn't work on stronger enemies (Something I forgot to put down for some reason).

The Erase part I'm referring to is when she suggested that she would be capable of "Erasing" (A word which has never been used before when referring to magic nullification) Root's energy beam (Which is in an entire league of its own AP wise, since it took Makoto [Unknown Key] using half of his Maryoku to crush it)

Tbh though, it probably is just stronger than normal magic nullification as she was in a powered up form.

If it can erase matter then it can erase characters (material characters), unless its only limited to erase inanimated objects.
