Right so

Yuga points and knocks him into a flat surface to make him a painting.

Sonic could do something though, to be fair. Even a homing attack would paste Yuga, and with the amount of optional equipment he has he could honestly insta-incap Yuga, too. However I'd assume not all of these would be his opening move if I know anything about the OG games Sonic, so uh

I vote Yuga.

Yuga won't turn Sonic into a painting at the start. In A Link Between Worlds he only leads with that technique on the sages so he can use their power to revive Ganon, when Link encountered him in the Eastern Temple Yuga decided to try fighting him normally first and only turned him into a painting when he became worried Link might ruin his plans.

You're forgetting the soldiers in Hyrule Castle. And Hilda. Painting GG is literally the only thing he did in his 6-B key, outside of his fight with Link in which he figured out he resists it as he managed to escape from the last time Yuga used it in him. What you mentioned is just PIS to let a boss fight take place at the end of the first dungeon, just like Agahnim.

Yes

So he did it to someone posing an actual threat

not some village kid

in this case Yuga is under threat and is willing to kill

not really a reason for him not to do it

As far as Yuga is aware this is just "some hedgehog", why would he view this short blue animal anymore of a threat then Link?

Anyway Yuga visibly sends out a wave of energy whenever he trys his painting thing, Sonic is more then capable of dodging it and kicking Yugas head off.

Okay, first of all, nobody is ever going to consider Sonic "some hedgehog", he's the size of a human, he's a cyclops, and is blue and spiky. Furthermore, Yuga had reason to assume Link was worthless because the village he was in was relatively worthless. He has no such reason here.

With speed equal? I'd argue against that logic.

Willing to kill and speed equalized btw
