Yeah we're doing this again, now in chaos mushroom man's world.
Default sheet:
- Name: self-explanatory
- Appearance: ^
- Age: ^
- Gender: ^
- Theme: general idea of what your character is meant to be, both character and power-wise
- Desired Verses: pick 2. You can suggest characters to be given from these but the final verdict is with me. Relies pretty heavily on the theme of the character for what you might get.
- Desired Powers: either pick 2 from characters on the wiki (in the form of x's y) or make your own, although there are rules for the latter. Verses can be exchanged for powers, but not vice-versa.
- Charge Power: a limited-use ability that is given greater leniency than normal powers. You start with three uses, it can only be used once per fight, has a duration of 3 turns, that being three exchanges of actions, and is still subject to some degree of the power rules, especially ones about player agency and power fuckery. Exact limits here are undefined, so as long as it isn't just "delete the universe", or some shit like that you should be fine.
What the **** does any of this mean and more:
- You can choose any verse from the wiki, but I will do terrible things to your extremities if you ask for things from FCOC or JBW.
- Powers have 2 sets of rules, one of which applies to characters as well:
- 1: Powers are capped at limits defined here. The limits are High offensively, and Mid defensively. However, as the scale doesn't account for potency or things that are functionally undodgeable, or even combinations of power, I will be taking those into account, so don't ask for 1-A shit with melee range. This obviously also applies to characters.
- 2-14: Rules regarding specific aspects of powers
- Don't be a dick and specifically make powers to counter other people. Countering trends in powers is fine, though.
- Do not just randomly tack on "oh yeah lol resistance to powers and abilities" to your powers.
- Absolutes in powers are not absolute. If you can give a reason for it being harder to resist beyond "lol ignores resistances", do that, and it will help you, but it will still not be absolute.
- If something is not explained in your power, it doesn't exist. Period. Leniency exists for broader-defined powers, but don't expect to get away with everything even with those.
- Do not ask for powers that are actually the entire character, or a majority of their abilities.
- Custom powers have a limit to what they can directly provide. I don't know what it is, but don't plan on getting twenty different things from one power.
- You must explain what you are referring to when you ask for something when it is not explained well on the page. This is especially the case when you're asking for something from a character that lacks a page.
- Do not copy powers from other people.
- The potency of an ability does not extend beyond how it is described. If none is given for that, it is assumed to be able to affect PCs when it was written, but no later
- If custom powers clash without immediately obvious differences in potency, the one that requires more active action to be used takes precedence.
- Power fusion and creation are immediately out unless they are obviously and drastically limited in ways that don't just make it the normal thing but with extra steps.
- And I reserve the right to potentially accept powers that break some of the aforementioned rules if using common sense would be more reasonable
- 15: Han Jee-Han and Dungeons and Dragons are banned. I can explain why if you are curious.
- All PCs are completely immune to effects that remove player agency or control over their characters. This includes mind control, fate manip, and any number of other things. And because someone will definitely try it: no, a choice never existing in the first place, thus breaking player control, because you deleted it does not bypass this rule.
- All PCs and relevant NPCs are immune to power copying and absorption. Regardless of context.
- All PCs are capable of interacting with and perceiving each other. I am aware this kind of breaks my own rule on the cap of defensive powers, but it's more there to not have people get ****** over by a character they want being a ghost or some shit like that.
- All PCs have Dimensional Storage for all of their items, but it cannot hold people.
- AP is capped at High 8-C. You can have feats below this, as well as treat yourself as below this if everyone else kinda decides to be a particular tier, but you can't go above it.
- Stat amplifications are capped at 4x for permanent ones, and an additional 4x on top of that for temporary ones. Amps with extreme downsides may be treated as going higher than this.
