Durability needed to withstand ocean floor conditions?

Just something I'm quite interested about, pressure present in the Mariana Trench is about 15750 psi; when you take the surface area of a human being into consideration (1.9m^2 or 2945.01in^2) it sounds that surviving in such conditions seems like a pretty impressive feat.
