Dragon Ball Super is ending in March

I think its just a hiatus, but it would probably allow the staff to get more experience and skill in filling out the story and the animation, so its probably for the best.

I really hope whether they return it to air or continue the Dragon Ball story in a new series, they give it the quality it deserves.

It seems to me Super hasn't been what a lot of were hoping for, even thought it was a nice watch for when you needed some Dragon Ball in your life.

Just to stir up some positive conversation, what would everybody be hoping for in a new sequel or continuation of Super? In terms of story, characters, and animation.

I'll be honest, it's relieving. I feel like Goku shouldn't taking the power leaps he is.

Mostly I'm salty that he beats Superman, but, whatever. If a continuation happens, it be better be good. Focus on mind over matter more. Maybe have the cast learn Ultra Instinct so everyone being on the same level with a little bit of training makes sense.

To be honest I'm really looking forward for the new movie. Considering it's about the history of the Saiyans it gives us a breath of fresh air from the old cast.

I'm actually really upset. DBS has been a vital part of my Sundays and gives me something to look forward to for the weekends. When I read about the Hiatus it feels like a part of me just wants to fall asleep wake up when the series resumes again lol

This is genuinely upsetting. I went through half of high school and over a year of college waiting for the weekends, because the series gave me something to look forward to. Oh well, there will be something else that piques my interest I guess. I do hope DBS comes back better than ever, though.

I'm calling it right now. 1 of these three things will happen:

Jiren will wind. Series will end with his wish.

Freeza will win, and use his wish to transcend Zen'o.

Goku will win. He will train with the GP or all the universes might be brought back. ToP might have been a test of Goku's worthiness or something to Zen'o to become something more, idk.

I'm also predicting that this is the real end of Dragon Ball Super and that the next series will be called Dragon Ball Ultra.

Speaking of Gurren Lagann, there was a CRT for that a while back proving that all the characters up to TTGL were straight Low 2-C and that STTGL needed an upgrade to straight 2-C as well.

@Quantu & Diddyjt

There are also various entertaining western cartoons, such as The Legend of Korra, Phineas & Ferb, Penguins of Madagascar, Batman: The Brave and the Bold, Justice League Unlimited, and the Dwayne McDuffie run on Ben 10.

And I'll just Suggest Slugterra since I'm like the only guy on the wiki who knows it. I mean, I had to make this with my bare hands.

Simon, just so I can show the fanboys the real GOAT of anime.

Iirc, Toriyama wanted to create at least 200 episodes; and yeah, it's most likely just a hiatus. Tournament of Power saga is ending in march yes, but somehow, I doubt it's going to end up being the last scenario. I don't think Super would just end completely without Goku or the others fighting characters from the 4 other universes that didn't partake in the tournament of power.

Many anime's have gone on hiatus before making a big comeback later on.

According to the tweets from the animators there are no plans for the future of this series. Dragon Ball Super has come to an end. If they decide later to return to Dragon Ball it will not be call Super.

What Tweets. Do you have any links to these?

It is about the first super saiyan.

Of course this is just my theory. However I think Super will be ending for a while due to all the work and resources going into the movie. After that we'll either get more Super or another Dragon Ball anime series.

I hope that you are right. I really like the current Dragon Ball anime.

"it's not like the series is ending"

"The Dragon Ball series will continue on"

I'm pretty sure it will. Even if not in the form of Super.

What is really stopping Gt from been canon at this point?

  • No God Ki or forms in Gt? If by the end they absorb Ultra Instinct in Base form the problem is solve.
  • Kibito kai defused? Is not like he can instant transmission to the tournament on the last episodes and Beerus takes both of their potaras to make Vegito while they fuse again.
  • Pilaf, Mai and Shu are older? Is not like we know the specifics of the wish. It can be reckon to have a time limit.
After all the popularity of Gt in Japan is as high as Super. Only the west hates it.
