Vegeta is like straight up more talented than Goku. Goku just typically has superior training and a more productive healthy mindset when it comes to growth, which is why he is almost always ahead.
Vegeta fanbase thinks he's an underdog and goku is the genius when that hasn't even been the case for years at all. Even the retcon to goku's backstory did nothing but change it that Bardock gave a shit about goku, though you can only make the criticism of Bardock's backstory being changed from its original design and intention from father of goku OVA and thus irrelevant to whether or not goku or vegeta is more talented. In human standards, Goku is a genius, and goku has always been presented as a genius. In Saiyan standards, Goku is fodder. His parents literally sent him away for his safety in another planet of species weaker than him.

Seriously, Vegeta didn't even begin to train or even learn from Goku's heavy training until after the Frieza Saga and into the android saga.

No offense to Vegeta. I like him a lot. But he isn't an underdog, and I think people are too obsessed with the underdog story. Even Naruto threw that side of the story out. It has never been relevant to the larger narrative at all.

It depends on what you mean by genius. I think it's wrong to associate being a genius with something like Goku on Earth compared to a newborn Goku, categorized by his initial fighting level. That seems more like a poor classification by a race that clearly didn't understand fighting potential or genius. In any case, it's not important to follow the standards of genius set by a particular race, because those standards may be wrong. What matters is when someone proves they are a genius for themselves, demonstrating which standards are right or wrong. It would also be interesting to see this narrative of initial rejection and incomprehension of geniuses that could be analogous. Of course it doesn't have to be a direct or necessary connection.

And yes, Vegeta is not a loser, but Goku's genius is superior, which is why it endures even after all this time, even after Vegeta continues to train.

By the way, this is just my opinion; I don't intend to start a discussion about it again. I see that here there’s a lack of conceptual clarity about what it means to be a genius or to be talented. In fact, the same thing happens in any discussion on the topic. I initially responded to someone here because I thought the discussion would be more divided or even go the opposite way, as many fans of communistes in Spanish even in English share my view, but apparently, that’s not the case here.

Anyone else think Gomah is just a tiny bit reminiscent of that one small Pride Trooper. Idk if that guy even has a name. Literally all of them are bums besides Jiren, Toppo, and Dyspo.

Wouldn't Daima just be canon to both? Like I really doubt those two won't be basically the same anyway.

How would scaling go then, because currently pre god ritual DBS manga goku is 4-B anyway, and DBS anime goku is 2-C. There's also the CRT that accepted Kai for DBS anime so a lot of the scaling might just be revamped anyway in a future CRT
