Basically, if one character often times tells some "villains" his tragic backstory, and explains how much he got harmed by some actions and how he wants to resolve this conflict peacefully and help them go through their suffering/hardships. And sometimes it makes "villains" reconsider their actions and at least think about how necessary their hostility actually was. But it's very situational and this character is socially awkward otherwise
