Does EE provide spirit resistance?

not really, EE is counted as bypassing durability so it does not really give u a durability rating

kinda yea, difference comes when u deal with a verse that has stuff dealing with souls, like soul hax, damaging souls etc. (and even then hax still works cus hax bypasses the dura)

EE bypass durability because it erase anything, it's a level of destruction which it's not quantifiable in terms of AP (in the wiki standards, it actually is)

Maybe they should add types to the Soul Manipulation page to avoid confusion. But it shouldn't be necessary a character to resist multiple versions of Soul Manipulation before gaining resistance. Besides, Bleach characters have Soul Manipulation for crushing the soul, right? And they have resistance to Soul Manipulation for not getting their soul crushed, right? So why would soul erasure be any different? It's both hax that effect the soul.

Soul crush is not just "getting their soul destroyed" is also fear hax, paralysis hax etc. And it also protects from absorbsion etc.
So the soul hax of bleach is quite a few things

So here’s my thoughts on this:
Existence encompasses both your body and soul. You need one to at least exist.
Existence Erasure is the complete destruction of both body and soul till the point where you are wiped out without a trace.
If you resist EE (An attack that destroys both body and soul) you should resist anything that’s physically destroying the body or spiritually destroying the soul because you resist Soul and Body destruction.
as for manipulating the body, change it into something else or removal of the soul or even paralysis, it should still affect you because it’s not outright destroying ones body and soul.

here EE is considered to just destroy the body unless it stated or shown that it also affects the soul
