I forget whether or not the lizard ever came back from being sent back in time.

If Doom successfully can do that to him, he wins. If not, he eventually loses.

I don't think 'altering someone's past ' and 'sending someone to the prehistoric era' are the same thing.

One requires time-paradox immunity to come back from. The other requires time travel. (Or some other means of preventing yourself from being sent back in the first place)

That seems to be the driving question here.

Like I said, if Doom can successfully time-freeze or time-BFR him, then he takes it. If not, he eventually gets outlasted.

What's stopping DOOM from BFR by throwing 682 to the heat death of the universe?

682 can't time travel, and while it adapts fast, it doesn't adapt instantly. It'll survive being in space, but it can't do anything.

DOOM will likely pull something like this when he realizes 682 can regenerate, and considering how smart DOOM is, it's not a stretch to think he'll do that. He's also tough enough to survive for a while.

DOOM takes it easy.

That wouldn't kill it. 682 can escape from an alternate dimension. He can get out of space.
The future isn't an alternate dimension. 682 hasn't traveled backwards in time. So BFR'ing it to the heat death of the universe is viable.
