If Giorno knows about DIO's timestop he'll probably try something like turning his clothes into seaweed or something, which would deflect THE WORLD's punch right back at DIO. You cannot tell me Giorno wouldn't do that if he weren't facing against an opponent whom he knew had time stop.

Also, since DIO likes to screw around a lot, he'd probably go into a monologue about either him finally meeting his child, or about how great he is. And Giorno's no stranger to the whole "using monologues to stall things out" tactic, so he of all people would know he could act within other people's monologues. This means Giorno would definitely have time to turn his shirt into whatever life form can mimic fabric.

It's in character for DIO to aim for the gut, so it'll work easily in Giorno's favor.

However this tactic will only work once since DIO's not stupid, and its debateable whether or not it'll buy Giorno enough time to get up close and muda him sufficiently. So I don't know.

Without prior knowledge, DIO wins a lot of matchups in JoJo, this one included. He stops time and when it resumes his fingers are in Giorno's neck and 1/3rd of his blood is already gone... or Giorno gets a hole in his chest. Even if Giorno does his life redirection trick, DIO is the only stand user who can regenerate from that. Giorno has a hole in his chest and will now pass out and die, DIO has his body crushed and will be perfectly fine in a minute or two.

The life redirection thing doesn't make Giorno invincible; if DIO chooses to throw a road roller at him then he kind of wins because he's not the one doing the damage. If he throws a strong enough punch it will still punch through Giorno even if it redirects from DIO. From there only one of them can regenerate from a lethal blow.

DIO punches Giorno, DIO gets large wound but regenerates from it. He figures out his son's ability, so he time stops and crushes his skull or something that doesn't involve damaging anything GE made.

I agree with PL. Regenerationn is just too much to handle, and even if Giorno can certainly trick Dio once, it's not enough.

Domestic violance FRA.

Dio stops time and turns Giorno into a donut. I am 100% sure Dio will straight up stop time when he feels threatened by anything Giorno can make, he has done it in-character.

Giorno has a solid chance at winning here, but it's just that: a chance. It's unlikely. It's gonna be like Jotaro's fight with DIO; DIO had every advantage over Jotaro and yet he still lost because Jotaro was lucky and everything went juuuust right for him to live long enough to get that fatal blow in.

None that were added. Also somebody make a request to add this to Giorno's profile because it's locked.

Giorno does have a way to win. He actually has multiple ways to trick DIO and play around the timestop. It's just that the actual chances of him winning are slim compared to DIO's.
