So the context of this is that while Joseph was using Hermit Purple to get some nice spirit hints, DIO intercepts him and blows up his hotel TV.

With Jonathan's Stand he has Clairvoyance but I don't think he was even trying to use it here.

It could also be Hermit Purples affecting with the TV itself but I don't really recall another time where there Stand did an interference like that. Early Part 3 was weird.
