Lots of information from Digimon Adventure Novel.

Something curious, we know from both Adventure and Lost Evolution that File Island was the origin of the whole Digital World. The novel gives a very interesting reason for this. Since File Island is a composite of several biomes, it is like a scheme of the Digital World as a whole, so this place is first created and then replicated throughout creation to form the lands, waters, and skies.

The first to revive was the island of beginnings. The island modeled all sorts of geographic features that were copied to make new sky, sea, and land. — "Digimon Book of Revelations," Chapter 28, Verse 12 In that empty sky, the first place in the Digital world where the children had landed on, File Island, was reconstructing before their very eyes. Centaurmon spoke. "File Island is small but it contains various terrains and climates because it was originally known as the "Island of Beginnings." That name originated from records of when the Digital world was first created. It's like a miniature copy of the entire Digital world, so to speak. I learned of this by deciphering the inscriptions of a different part of the Ancient Dino region. The Digital world is being recreated now, once more, using the data of File Island as its base to create a new world."

Several quotes about Apocalymon as a concept rejected by the Digital World in its creation. In addition all the Digimon who have died even become part of Apocalymon, which includes even those who resurrected.

"Apocalymon is merely an Idea. An idea that rejects "evolution." In other words, it is the very essence of the idea to "not evolve." While it is true that there are those in the Digital World who have disappeared through the evolution process, they get reconstructed as different species at the Village of Beginnings. However, what remains is their feelings of regret. This guy absorbed those lingering emotions as its nourishment in order to form its physical body. You must hurry. Apocalymon is storing energy to create a big bang in the Digital World. The big bang will effect both the Digital World and the human world overlapping it. You must seal away Apocalymon this instant."

There was no importance to the destruction of Apocalymon's body, as it was only a way for him to manifest with a physical body. In addition there was a more detailed description of what the world created by Apocalymon would look like.

But Apocalymon, whose existence was originally an Idea, only needed a physical body to reset the Digital World. It was not affected by the loss of its physical form in the least. It had steadily been preparing for the big bang within its body all along. After the big bang, Apocalymon planned to rule the new world that was created out of it by becoming its god. It wanted to become the god of a dead world— a world that fully denied evolution, growth, movement— all sorts of transient processes in exchange for silence and stagnatio.

One more description of the creation of the Digital World when the concept of evolution was chosen over the non-evolution concept, it is once again made clear that Homeostasis is a creation of the Digital World itself to maintain the balance between light and darkness.

At the beginning of the world, when the Digital world was still in chaos, the Digital world chose the idea of "evolution." By deciding that this process would involve the Digital world itself "evolving," it created Homeostasis for that necessity. Homeostasis mainly worked on minute security detail within the Digital world. Because Homeostasis was a system and did not have physical form, it created Gennai and others as autonomous agents (called "Agents") to act as its arms and legs. Light and darkness are two sides of the same coin. It is when light and darkness are at equilibrium, that the world is stable and balanced. Homeostasis functioned to keep that balance equal, so whenever the powers of darkness increased dramatically, it needed to stop them in order to keep the balance of the Digital world from collapsing.

The importance of feelings for the acceleration of evolution has been better explained, with the spiritual characteristics of humans being a hidden direction from each other, not exactly something specific at a given moment. Light is defined as life itself, evolution, truth, beauty, etc. The term "light" is used only as a generalization of everything.

And in the human world, four years ago, a single Digiegg flew through the gate into Hikarigaoka. It was an unexpected— Or, perhaps, fateful accident. That Digiegg hatched into a Digimon who "evolved" to Koromon, then Agumon, then Greymon. Such rapid evolution was unthinkable in the Digital world. It was a young human girl named Hikari Yagami who had caused the evolution. They didn't know what it was about Hikari that accelerated "evolution." Homeostasis sent Parrotmon to Hikarigaoka to retrieve Greymon. At that time, they scanned the data of that curious young girl and, for comparison purposes, also scanned the data of her brother Taichi beside her along with the data of all humans who had witnessed the battle between Greymon and Parrotmon. Homeostasis used a group of its Agents to analyze the data set they had obtained. The result was their discovery that in each child existed unique spiritual traits such as courage, friendship, love, knowledge, purity, sincerity, and kindness, etc. These qualities were not about whether they already possessed them or not, but that they had the hidden potential for it. Hikari's trait, however, was different from them all. It was like the presence of the power of "life" itself. It had the same meaning as "evolution" for the Digital world, or maybe even the same meaning as "truth" and "beauty." As an umbrella term for the source of life, they called this trait "light."

Over time more and more Digimon that would be related to some human emotion would appear, and these especially would evolve faster than normal. When compatible humans and digimon are together they are stronger, develop a bond, and become partners.

Four years in the human world meant several thousand years in the Digital world. The Digimon's basic traits continued to evolve within that time, and sometimes there would appear Digimon who had special connections with children from the real world. Those Digimon achieved rapid evolution through the special qualities of that human child's heart, and they could exterminate the powers of darkness in the Digital world that grew in excess. The Digimon and the children that they had a special bond with became known as "partners."

Digivices are devices that facilitate the transmission of energy from humans to digimon, while Crests of arms usually act as amplifiers to facilitate increased energy, however they also limit power when needed to prevent something bad from happening.

In order to provide a device that would easily convey a human's heart to their Digimon, Homeostasis made the digivices.' They also made the Crests. The design of each child's Crest were the exact replica of the design that took form in their hearts when overlayed with a special oscillograph. If the digivices were a transmission device, then the Crests were amplifiers. But they weren't made to unconditionally amplify their powers. If the child acted on wicked feelings that went against their special trait, their Crest acted as a limiter instead.

The reason Apocalymon returned was because the first time there were not enough Digimon and Humans to seal properly.

The containment of the first Apocalymon was one of them, but at that time there weren't enough children and Digimon partners to seal it away perfectly. Four of those Digimon evolved into the Four Holy Beasts, bestowed with the role of protecting the Digital world. The Digimon who lived at that time recorded all that had happened in the "Digimon Book of Revelations" as posterity for future generations.

t is implied that there is a greater power than that of Homeostasis, which is at work in the worlds and was responsible for the erasure of children's memories of Agumon's appearance in Hikarigaoka, the presence of the right children in the right place and that they were always there. linked with each other even when they moved to Odaiba.

In the human world, the families of the other "Chosen Children" moved to Odaiba at roughly around the same time as the Yagami family. Maybe it wasn't a coincidence that the hearts of those other children had their own separate traits. Some sort of power operated in the human world, something that took away the memories of the Hikarigaoka incident from the children. If it had a large design that stretched between both the human world and the Digital world, then it was an event of such a high-level that not even Homeostasis could sense it.

Piemon infected Gennai with a prototype of the Dark Seed, it is specified that it is made of pure darkness. This original version was triggered in the presence of negative feelings and caused great pain in the infected.

It was at that time that Piemon buried a black ball, a clump of pure darkness, in Gennai's back. It was to assure that even if Gennai made it out of there alive, he would be prevented from moving around freely. This black ball was the prototype for what would later be reformed into the Dark Seed, a vital weapon for the Digimon of darkness. ... He needed to create a barrier that would prevent the black ball from activating. While inside that barrier, Gennai had to think about what he could do to suppress the black ball's power. The conclusion that he came up with was to "grow old." By disabling his regenerative function, he could prevent the black ball from enlarging. ... It was Gennai and the other agents working for Homeostasis who had made the Crests. With each step in making the Crests, they had put into them their hopes that the Crests would one day save the Digital World. And now, those Crests, their hope, had been destroyed. Gennai was aghast. At the same time, an old injury on his back suddenly spiked with pain. It was coming from the seed of darkness that Piemon had once buried inside him. "Urghh, owwwww." Taichi, who was unaware of Gennai's pain, said to him snidely, "This is no time to be acting senile! Do something!" "I'm not acting senile…" Gennai was fighting with himself right now. In order to prevent the dark seed from activating, he needed to suppress any negative emotions he felt. He tried to recall the self-control training that he had been working on while he'd resided within the barrier beneath Temp Lake. He needed to maintain his sense of calm.

Since the creation at the Big Bang, the "Real World" has always been behind the "Digital World" and this caused an imbalance, unknowingly the Dark Masters actually helped the Digital World as their action began to help change the flow of time in the Digital World. The reason why this happened is something vague and specifically something in the "God's territory," far beyond what Homeostasis or Gennai would understand.

Until now, time in the Digital World passed quicker than time in the real world. In terms of real-world time, the Digital world had only been born recently. Perhaps its rapid flow of time was what caused the real world to try and catch up to its "history" from the big bang to the present time. Because of it, the Digital world as a world before now lacked stability. This was the reason why other worlds invaded it so easily, as well as why it influenced the real world. The Dark Masters' "restructuring" of the Digital world actually helped it to increase in stability. What's more, the scale of the computer network in the real world had rapidly expanded the past few years, and there were more personal computers in use as terminals. Both sides must have satisfied enough elements of some sort, because time in the new Digital world was now synced with the real world. It was an indication that the Digital World had proceeded into its next steps, as both signs of its own evolution and a new era for the humans living in the real world. Of course, no one was told the meaning behind this. This was "God's" territory. The knowledge of this was not conveyed to Homeostasis, which was simply a security system, much less to a mere Agent like Gennai…

Whats with wargreymon enhanced with the power of darkness? I never saw that mechanic in the anime. Is it supposed to be for the Dramon Breaker?

The Power of Darkness was explained in the Novel which gives details on events from the anime that weren't fully explained.

Because of events involving the deaths of friends like Leomon or Whamon, Yamato and Taichi began to be devoured by the power of darkness and it was this power that allowed them to defeat the Dark Masters with the ease they had.

However, Taichi managed to recover and eventually defeated Mugendramon using the "Power of God".

Yamato was not so lucky and was actually devoured by darkness until he was saved. It was something that the director of Adventure only revealed through Novel, which is a further justification for the defeat of the Dark Masters.

The Dramon Breakers were mentioned as one of the reasons WarGreymon beat Metal Seadramon and Mugendramon, but in the end what really made the difference was the power of darkness. Same for Metal Garurumon defeating Pinochimon

Examon is incapacitated or dead, but may be getting his X-Antibody soon.

Lucemon X has lost interest in everyone and left the fight to complete his own goals.

Gallantmon X has arrived to help Crusadermon X deal with DarkKnightmon X and Barbamon X.

Jesmon X is likely pretty injured thanks to Lucemon X and Beelzemon X.

Gankoomon X appears after nearly being killed by Lucemon X and Beelzemon X's combined attack. The X-Antibody saved his life.

UlforceVeedramon X is fighting Daemon X.

Magnamon X is fighting Beelzemon X.

Dynasmon X is fighting Ophanimon FM and Cerubimon Vice X.

Duftmon X is doing Gallantmon X a solid and going to get OmegaShoutmon and RizeGreymon for...some reason.

Craniamon X is fighting Belphemon X

Sleipmon X is fighting Leviamon X

Lilithmon X is doing **** all.

GranDracmon is doing **** all.

Anubismon is doing **** all.

Alphamon and Omegamon X are MIA (Probably at the Subway)

Chapter 16

The damage that the special moves of the 2 Seven Great Demon lords caused Gankoomon was greater than expected, Gankoomon had fallen, and the light of his life was about to extinguish...

The evil Digimon who saw the crisis of Gankoomon sniffed out that they could defeat a Royal Knight and raise the level of their own fame.

One after another they rushed to attack.

Jesmon X desperately resisted against these Digimon attacking en mass while defending Gankoomon. Dynasmon X and the others couldn't help each other in their battles, and eventually members of the army that Jesmon X failed to defeat would attack the defenseless Gankoomon.

"Sieg... Saber!"

At that time. Along with the voice heard from the heavens, the Digimon that were attacking Gankoomon were removed.

The savior who appeared was Dukemon X.

Following the lead of Dukemon X, Jesmon X was able to find a way to breakthrough the enemies and the two of them were able to wipe out the evil Digimon.

"We're saved, Dukemon! But you've been missing, where have you been?"

"He who pioneered the future of the X-Antibody... rather than talking about doing things with them, helping Gankoomon is the first priority." Dukemon X held his hand over the wounder Gankoomon.

"Give the X-Antibody to Gankoomon, which can help his recovery with X-Evolution. It's the only way to save him now."

Jesmon X and Dukemon X infused X-Antibody into Gankoomon. Gankoomon's body was surrounded by an intense light, and when that light stopped, X-Evolution happened and he became Gankoomon X, and the wounds recovered.

"The time is right..."

Lucemon X saw the arrival of Dukemon X, and the X-Evolution of Gankoomon, and then vanished with an invisible smile. Dukemon X yells.

"Soon reinforcements will arrive, led by OmegamonShoutmon and RiseGreymon! Duftmon, I want you to head to the other battles!"

Duftmon X, Magnamon X, and Dynasmon X left where they weer and rushed to RhodoKnightmon X (Crusadermon/LordKnightmon).

basically just means that at some point after the original chronicle, omnimon x met a shoutmon, helped him digivolve, and now he's gonna return the favour and help fight the SGDL

half of them did.

gallatmon X, omnimon X, and alphamon are from the original chronicle 15 years ago so in storyline they've been X digimon for ten years. (alphamon is of course a natural carrier)

magnamon, leopardmon, ulforce, dynasmon, and cusadermon were already in their X forms it seems.

examon, jesmon, craniamon, kentarousmon, examon, and gankoomon were in their base forms.

whats weird is that king drasil sends the ones that specfically arent in their x forms. I guess its a "dont send your best guys right away" tactic, and since they all got their asses kicked, he sent in the X knights he had and now gallantmon has returned after 10 years (and omnimon and alphamon will show up also most likely. alphamon from OG chronicle is BFFs with a ouryumon, so we'll see if alphamon brings his pet dragon with him)

You're right, but a few clarifications are needed:

Magnamon, Dynasmon and Ulforce V-dramon also obtained their X forms 15 years ago (they are in the Pendulums X 3.0 and 2.5 as either raiseable digimon and quest's bosses). Duftmon got his like three years later, in the Battle Terminal storyline.

The older version of the X-Antibody fades away over time unless you replenish it, something really hard to do in the New Digital World, and that's why the RKs were in their natural forms in the other storylines (the only exception being Alphamon, who is a natural carrier and so has a permanent version of the X-Antibody).

For the current storyline, Yggdrasill allowed the RKs to use the newer version of the X-Antibody (that is evolving to be permanent even in those who are not natural carriers), as the Old Digital World is still full of some remnants of the X-Program and a natural digimon will die there. That is why the RKs are getting their old X forms again (or new forms, for those who didn't got them 15 years ago).

You mean Sleipmon and Craniummon? Yggdrasill gave them the new X-Antibody before exploring the ODW. If you're talking about Gankoomon and Examon, they weren't sent by Yggdrasill. They went on their own when they saw what was happening in the ODW.

Volcano Ota revealed that he is going to be the Voice Actor of Xuanwumon, revealing that the Four Holy Beast will be a part of Surive's Storyline. This is expected since Survive is based in Adventure's lore that uses a lof the Four Holy Beasts
