If The Devourer gets upgraded to 2-C (I still have that CRT up), then idk how this matchup would come close to working out.
Wasn't that CRT already accepted by 3 staff? It was supposed to be applied by now 'less you're waiting for something.

Don't worry, at least you can turn this to a 4-A matchup using Toei Goku.

The 2-C part could get added now, and anything mentioned on that thread after its acceptance could be saved for a separate CRT.

So Goku's more experienced fighting alone as well as being stronger and more durable by about 3 times, though both actually upscale from their calculated values, with endgame EBF4 Matt being able to withstand Godcat's attacks which were originally shown to one-shot him in the mid-game while she was weak, which is superior to his endgame EBF3 self who contributed to beating Akron who grew in power overtime since the start of the game where a very weakened version did the starry sky feat Matt upscales from.

Depending on what Goku does, if he tries to go for a kill, it just leads to a Game Over which will prompt the player controlling Matt to reset the battle from the start to try again until they can finally beat Goku. The only way the Game Over will not be able to trigger is pretty much any other wincon outside of Death. That being said, Goku incapacitating is definitely an option, but it really depends if he'll resort to that in-character.

Goku also resists most statuses that Matt has, but then there's the pocket watch that has a chance of passively activating every turn which is time based paralysis (not regular paralysis) that will make him completely unable to do anything until it wears off, and Goku has no resistance to time stop. If that lands, it's pretty much over for Goku. While Matt's abilities mostly relies on physical attacks, Goku also has no magic resistance which means he will take heavy damage from magic that is completely separate from physical damage. Nor does he resist Death Manipulation that will allow Matt to have a chance to end the fight quickly with just one hit from the Life Shaver.

He had won through incap twice in the series itself: one indirect (Vegeta) and one direct (Frieza). In the former case, while Vegeta did escape in his pod, Vegeta wound up passing out in his spaceship due to his injuries. The other time was at the end of the Goku vs Frieza battle where his last energy wave rendered Frieza unable to move from the damage he suffered.

If it goes down to a point where his opponent is sufficiently incapacitated and he isn't something Goku needs to kill (i.e. Buu), then Goku will declare the fight over and let his opponent go.

Matt might resist incap via morale from The Tr*force flair, dragon helmet, or kitten fort.
Ehh...
"The target cannot be killed in one hit if their HP is above or equal 49%; a lethal blow will only reduce them to 1 HP. This includes Instant Death, Doom, and the "overflow" attack, but not the Sacrifice skill. As of EBF5 v2.0, it also prevents direct debuffing of Defense and Magic Defense."

I don't think Goku's one-shotting or two-shotting Matt, so I don't think Morale's gonna work.
