Forgive me if I’m wrong, but Deoxys and Rayquaza are pretty comparable, no? Rayquaza doesn’t no-sell Deoxys’ attacks, they can actually hurt eachother. What’s being discussed here is that Goku is way too strong for Deoxys to handle, so he’ll eventually notice and use Mindhax.

Y’know, people always say things like this, and I never know why. The importance of mentioning Teleportation is usually as a movement option, not for stealth. It’s for teleporting out of the way of attacks, and the fact that teleporting’s usually faster than normal movements. Ki Sensing doesn’t counter Teleportation used for that purpose, it counters Teleportation for the sake of escaping an enemy or Stealth, something that wouldn’t be discussed 8/10 times in a Vsbattle.

Ngl, I look up ‘Mega Rayquaza vs Deoxys’ on YouTube and get this episode of Pokémon generations, which has Deoxys blitzing (or at least consecutively dodging and counterattacking) all of Rayquazas attacks, before Resorting to Defense Form and getting caught by a trainer before he can continue the fight.

Plus, I remember Mega Rayquaza vs Deoxys was like, this big thing in Pokèmon OR/AS, wasn’t it? All I’m saying, canonically, it’s not so much a Stomp as it is usually depicted as 2 equals battling it out for earth or what have you.

It's a stomp canonically mega rayquaza is 3-B not to mention even in the generation episode it no sells deoxys strongest attack (psyco cut) and also the grand metor delta and the trainer caught deoxys (it wasn't just defence form he was also using protect) after he was hit by rayquaza's dragon desent which considerably weakened it

Deoxys also didn't use it's mind manip in destiny Deoxys movie where he was losing to Rayquaza. I know base rayquaza and deoxys are somewhat comparable but that's irrelevant since it was losing here and it still didn't use it's mind manip (Deoxys also had more chances for mind manip here since this rayquaza couldn't one shot it but it still didn't)

Well not really anything since deoxys can regenerate from anything but getting vaporised, so goku's win condition is kamehameha/spirit bomb/anything big enough

He regens with his core, if goku touches his core he dies, goku has AoE with all his attacks, if he wanted, he'd pulverize deoxys with a punch.

I vote Goku for reasons above. Unfortunately for Deoxys, regeneration is useless if he takes a direct hit like a ki blast or directly Kamehameha from Goku to his core, and trust me, he would.

What can Deoxys even do here? Goku is literal tiers above him, especially since he's almost Tier 4 in Base alone and outright 4-C as SSJ

Goku has a massive scaling chain above First Form Frieza's feat:

Goku ~= Suppressed Frieza >> Frieza Saga Vegeta > Third Form Frieza >> Piccolo = Second Form Frieza >> Vegeta (Pre-Zenkai) = First Form Frieza > Casual First Form Frieza = 4.89 Tenatons

SSJ is a 50 times multiplier on top of that

Deoxys only scales to about 900 Zettatons here. Mind you all that this is about 200 million times AP difference between them

Namek Saga Goku is High 5-A still. Deoxys also doesn't use mind hax in character at all so just blitzing with speed forme isn't gonna matter

Goku in character is likely to start off by holding back, because he wants to test the waters. Deoxys could very well inflict a status like sleep on Goku in this time, then BFR the Snoozing Saiyan.
