Firstly, whilst the laser was hot, it's heat wasn't the reason that caused the core of the kryptonian metal to reach 3 million kelvin. It was caused by bombarding it with X-Rays. It only reached that temperature as a reaction to the x-rays emitted from the electron laser.

We later learn that the kryptonain metals becomes hotter than the laser. So it would make no sense if it was caused by the heat of the laser.

They also refer to the innercore becoming superheated. The definition of super heated in thermodynamics is when a liquid is heated to a temperature higher than its boiling point, without boiling. This would mean that melting the kryptonian core wouldn't require less than 3 million kelvin to achieve.
Whatever that laser itself can reach morbillion kelvin or not isn't really relevant, we aren't scaling the Supes hv to the laser's temp directly. And i don't understand what you are saying, if you belive the electron lasers can't generate 3 million kelvin why are you saying it doesn't make sense for the metal to be hotter than the laser ?

In this context the superheated stuff is clearly just being used to mean extremely hot, Cyborg also says the the Boxes were superheated when Silas tried to use the same machine on them and the Boxes can create and withstand a quasar which can reach hundereds of millions of kelvin.
A similar thing was brought up back then, in this thread. The kryptonian metal was exposed to the heat longer than 0.000000000001 seconds.

Lasers don't actually have a temperature. And my reasoning was faulty there. So I took that bit out.

Bro, if silas was truly able to superheat a box, it would mean he went past its melting point, so why didn't he just melt and destroy the box right there rather than superheating it?

He was trying to superheat it. This process can also happen to solids. And if it was an attempt. That was unsuccessful, then he would not have went past the melting point of the box.

And it makes no sense for him to try and do something like that (trying to heat the box way above its melting point), again the usage of superheated just means "very hot" in this and the lab context.
