DC Cosmology General Discussion

Well, it's technically a place outside multiverse. In justice league vol 3 issue 33, cyborg and his team went into hypertime.
Ever since the deception had changed as the Cosmology blog literally stated. I don't think Justice League supersedes Flashpoint: Beyond given the latter is more recent.

Is there a reason to suggest the shadow world is illusory or just fiction to the true world?

I've read it and I personally think it warrants layers into 1-A. However, there's talk between me and Ultima about a High 1-A+ Cosmology, so there's that.
You would have to ask whoever suggested the 1-A rating in the revision thread. I haven't read Books of Magic and its related stories in years. I don't recall the full context of the True Tim stuff beyond bits and pieces. Or if it was later expanded on in detail. Well, besides the created worlds being referred to as an echo of the true world, but that's likely not enough.

From the context of Vertigo, things like that matter.

I don't think the statement about the Timestream is enough for an upgrade, but i have a scan of the Source Wall spanning all dimensions known and unknown, which possibly qualify for a Low 1-A tier but it's not certain.

But still we have to address timestream and fourth dimension properly now that we know the importance of it and potential of it becoming L 1-A

I have a request. For the Presence profile can we change the Vertigo section name to “Yahweh” instead of the Presence which the page is also called. That’s just confusing and dumb.
I personally agree with you, but am uncertain if it will get us in trouble with followers of Abrahamic religions. 🙏

Is that the reason why we change it? If so there’s other names to call it: Elohim, Eloha, God, Allah etc…However throughout the whole story from the Archangels, the Jin En Moks, The Hell Lords. They all call him “Yahweh.” It’s not surprise that the whole central storyline is meant to be based off the Abrahamic religion. In Sandman #50 a Muslim follower who knew of the Dream King tells Morpheus that he was given the realm of the unreal by Allah. Another time in Lucifer, the Titans refer to the Presence by the name “Yahweh, the God of the Covenant, and Creation.” They also call him Elohim as plural Hebrew name for God.

I don’t actually think this crosses any boundaries. That’s simply what his name is throughout the whole story.

Okay. That seems fine then, in lack of other options. 🙏

Yes. "Yahweh" should be for Vertigo. "Divine Presence" & "Smile" should be for DeMatteis. "Presence" & "Creator" should be for Crisis Cosmology.

I prefer the term “God” for DeMatteis. The “Presence” is the character profile and the name per canon should be reflected with a different name to it. So Crisis would be the “Creator,” Vertigo “Yahweh,” and DeMatteis “God.” They’re all the “Presence,” but naming a key the “Presence” as well is a turn off.

So wait, has the High 1-A+ and 0 Revision been accepted yet? or is it still on Hold

In theory, it has been accepted, but there still needs to be time for more staff input on it because Ant was uneasy at such changes. So we’ll have to wait on a couple more, but the thread should come to a close soon, hopefully.

I need help understanding a realm with multiple temporal dimensions, and I remembered that DC features something similar. What would be the rating of a realm with at least four layers of time? What is the best way to build an argument for this?

Do you have any scans in mind? Typically, it’s usually just a reference to space-time(3 spatial dimensions + 1 dimension of time), the rest are usually just very compacted hyper dimensions.
