He basically converted his Godly Ki power into the same equivalent of power in Normal Ki (Sort of like how something of lesser quality in big enough numbers can overwhelm qualitatively superior things).

Anyway, do other profiles, such as Vegeta, need to be updated from 3-B to 3-A as well?

Vegeta and others are already 3-A. Their ratings come from scaling to Goku, so Goku's 3-A justification was the only one that needed to be concrete.
