David Beckum vs Václav Novak

Request by Hl3 or bust in discord since he was doing some stuff or something like that.

The contenders for this match are Václav Novak from Abnormalverse and David Beckum of From Darkness

I'm assuming David's first key is used, otherwise Standard Battle Assumptions.

Speed is equalized

Václav scales to Thomas Hausler, who seems to be baseline, and David seems to scale to an individual who is comparable to Contessa.

Who will prevail?

Václav Novak -

David Beckum -

Vaclav

David definitely has the AP advanatage

  • Vaclav = Hausler who can break door locks with physical strikes
  • David = Kurt Wynn = Contessa who can casually brutalize several other parahumans, who are way stronger than most humans
Considering how Vaclav will stay intangible for as long as possible, David will have to fight zombies which may or may not out-AP him, but will never hit him or even come close to doing so

really comes down to whether David can hold out until Vaclav becomes tangible again and David caps him

Thomas is actually capable of fighting Zombies hand to hand, which are basically normal humans, but with unconscious limiters removed. IE, the limiters telling you not to punch someone hard enough to break your arm or tear muscles.

i imagine he'd have trouble concentrating when this guy literally fodderizes his army of zombies without breaking a sweak

I feel like unless Václav goes for a gib he won't be able to do much else, especially since his zombies can't touch him and Václav himself is in terrible condition to take a few hits.

Now with that being said, if Václav has his wings, he might be able to better defend himself.

what's to stop him from just surrounding David with a posse of ghosts until one gets him? I suppose the ghosts are probably too slow to effectively catch him, though Vaclav's powers and abilities tab doesn't give an exact speed for them, and David might willpower resist

If the ghosts and David's speed are equal, then shouldn't Vaclav just summon a bunch of ghosts which then surround, possess, and rip apart David?

But he's a very clever character and sending a bunch of ghosts to possess someone is a move listed on his Powers and Abilities page, so it's not unlikely he could do that when he saw that the zombies weren't doing anything.

Well

Since Slapson, the guy who made Vaclav, never brought up Vaclav using it even as he saw his army of zombies getting fodderized, he's not gonna use it any time soon

Apparently that's ooc and he normally just spams zombies, which can't do much to David
no its not. its just easier to do because zombies don't require the same attention like ghosts do in the middle of a fight.

also @crimson possession can be fought against and rejected, even with multiple ghosts trying to get in. he's likelier to frag.
