Dabi has building level durability, so unless he can one shot Tanjiro before Tanjiro can reach him. And whether speed is equalized to supersonic + or high hypersonic, a 40 meter gap would be closed in an instant. Granted Dabi can also react and attack in that time with AOE flames, but if Dabi doesn't one shot or have enough AP to severely damage to the point where Tanjiro is weakened, he could just dash up and cut him once for a GG. Plus breath arts amp him to some degree as well. And Dabi isn't the most skilled of fighters

Unless Tanjirou only spams his Dance of the Fire God and Breath of the Sun, I don't see Dabi winning

I could See Dabi taking this if he plays it right and keeps his distance as his fire has insane Aoe and it has an AP advantage over tanjiro
Dabi also has Hovering which can also come in handy for keeping distance and he can bombard Tanjiro from above
