Couple a questions about Gaster

Or I guess just one question really, and it's about the state of the profile, and by state of it I mostly mean;

"Why does it exist at all?"

I'm genuinly curious about this. To my knowledge the only concrete information we ever get about Gaster is from some NPC's that were removed from the final product and in order to interact with any of these characters (Gaster included) one would need to hack to game. On top of that the interactions we get with these characters are extremely limited. Just a few lines of vauge dialouge and static sprites. I'll admit, I haven't looked too much into Gaster's "events" but it currently seems to me like Undertale's meta nature is being pushed a little far just to, seemingly, invent a new mysterious character.

It should be noted I'm not trying to change anything, I'm literally just looking for a few answers.

You dont have to hack into the game to get the characters. They are randomly spawn based on "fun values". Gaster is still a cannon part of the game and what they said is true. He is just left vague (more than likely on purpose) and surrounded in tonnes of mystery.

Some of the stuff that requires you to hack the game is also likely there on purpose as well.
