Being a bstract does not give the ability to affect abstract.Gygas mind hax has never been shown to affect abstract

Yes I too don't remember the time where at the end of the game it's directly stated Giygas' power and mind hax was so potent he destroyed himself.

As other users pointed out, the entire EarthBound verse are under major revisions so this'll have to be closed or switched to fun and games. This can still debated, although I'm certain that Giygas stomps really badly. This is because of his passives and the fact that Altair wouldn't be able to interact with Giygas due to the lack of range and conceptual interaction or any means of interacting with a Nonexistent being.
Giygas in the state that he is in has Conceptual abilities, including his Passive hax. This is because he was able to warp, affect, and insert his evil influences onto Ness's Magicant; a metaphysical universe created by Ness's own memories. Everything within Magicant is abstract, including Ness's Nightmare (An evil manifestation of Ness influenced by Giygas). Because of his influences, Ness was unable to interact with the Truth of the Universe who was residing at the center of the Sea of eden. What's worse, Giygas exist as an abstract non-existent void beyond Time-Space that can't be comprehended at all. Ness, who previously obtained a small portion of the Truth's power and knowledge, was unable to comprehend his true nature.
