Okay, no.I'm sorry but Bob, just be like everyone else and stop going out of your way to make profiles for things out of the norm. Between this, Barney, and the Marvel/DC thing, it just gets tiring to deal with these topics that shouldn't even need to be dealt with. It's common sense on what should and shouldn't get profiles, and a Composite Sonic is not one of them. Link isn't even fully composited, and is only a grouping of all of his canon appearances of the Spirit of the Hero. No CD-i, Smash, Soul Calibur, Hyrule Warriors, etc. are on it.

I know I could've answered with a simple no, but I had to cut off the head of this snake as if it's not one thing, it's another.

Because we don't go around making composite profiles willy nilly. There's not going to be a Composite Sonic, a Composite Goku, a Composite Darth Vader, etc. because it's common sense and they're not even in the same continuity as one another. Again, Link gets a pass because it's all one canon and the Spirit of the Hero is a thing. When you think Link, you don't think "oh, you mean this Link," and even the developers try to have a representation across the incarnations as shown in the art books. Sonic, not the case.

Sonic's case is that the different versions are in different canons. Link's isn't. That's why Link gets a pass to make composite, while Sonic doesn't. And even then, Link still has to follow the rules about composite characters and versions like Hyrule warriors and CDI aren't in it.

We're very strict when it comes to creating composite profiles; especially if it's a composite canon and non-canon together. The reason Composite Link is that he's many canon characters who are connected in essence.

I´m almost finished, some stuff may be removed if its too "not-canon" or "relevant" enought.

Can you please wait?

Can we wait for tomorrow the discussion? Half of the users in here went to sleep, and only discussing with the rejecting side won´t let this go too far.

There's no need to be so unnecessarily harssh on Bob about this, which is what I'm seeing even if that's not the intent.

Whether I agree with a Composite Sonic profile or not doesn't really matter, at least give the discussion somewhere to go. Hell, it's almost 3 A.M. where I am. This isn't gonna have the chance to go anywhere until later.

Composite Superman is officially banned due to controversy, however.

For the others, however, are fine if you ask me, except for Composite Mario, as it literally would be the main profile but with no new keys nor new powers really, as far I know.

Mario doesn't really need a composite since there's really only one main canon; unless you roll CDI, live action movie, Nintendo Power, DIC cartoon, and Smash Bros all into one character, but that's off limits too. Composite Megaman would be 5 different canons, so keep them seperate. Composite Goku was also flat out rejected for numerous reasons. Composite Sonic will not be either.

What´s wrong with making a composite of mainstream characters in this "fashion"?

It's simple, mixing canon with non-canon is the very definition of "Special Treatment", which is something we simply cannot give to any character. We might as well make a Tier 0 version for practically every single character in fiction if we want to make a truly composite character containing every canon and non-canon moment in every single medium.

But at least the focus are "official" versions of the character, not including stuff like fanfictions and so on.

I mean, yeah. But it would be Megaman EXE, Classic, X, Star Force, Trigger, Archie Comics and Juno combined. Should Zero and the Biometal kids count?

TBH I don´t think so, that would be like making a composite Mario with the powers of Luigi.

Anyways, good night, it´s 3:00 AM and I´m already feeling sleepy.

Oh yeah, go ahead in that case, however, I think Joke Battles Wiki already has a composite Mega Man, which you may check as a base.

Even so, we simply cannot merge continuities. Merging Game Sonic and Archie Sonic is simply not aloud at all period. Merging all the different Mega men isn't allowed either; Reppuzan would be shaking his head to that idea iirc. If you want to make such a profile, go to Joke Battles wiki or something.

None of the Mega Men are even close to being similar beings. Rock and Geo Stelar are so far apart that I don't know where to begin. Compositing then would be completely dishonest.

He's recently been making threads like this way too often. Don't get me wrong, I like the guy. I really do. He has no bad intentions and we have similar interests in video games. But there's a point where it's enough and just becomes inane. He has to learn to stop attempting to make profiles that are obviously going to turn some heads, to say the absolute least.

@Cal Believe me, I get it. After the whole Barney incident (no offense to you, Bob), I can imgaine why people are miffed or iffy. I'm not even sure if I'd like a Composite Sonic. But you gotta admit you could've been a bit more easy/tactful about it.

Just know I'm not trying to tear anyone out here, just thought I'd at least try to keep the unnecessary arguments to a minimum.

We don't need to composite anyone with a large verse/who appears in crossovers. Besides Link and CH, I can't even really think of any notable composites rn.

I remember that in DeviantArt Composite Sonic is a thing...multiple times in fact

EDIT:not saying it has to be here, just musing

DeviantArt can do what they want, but we're our own website. Other sites doing stuff isn't necessarily a reason for us to.

DeviantArt also isn't a site specifically for this sort of thing so their vs debates wouldn't really have the same level of rules and regulations we have here.

Oh well, Im fine if it isn´t allowed, after all, it would be fo the best of the site.

But are you sure about that? As Composite Sonic is a topic bringed up possibly even more than Composite Human (outside the wiki, of course).
