Put simply, the Black Hole feat on the profile flagrantly violates our standards.

As our Black Hole Creation page says, simply resembling a black hole and sharing the same basic function does not qualify it as real. This "black hole":
  • Does not destroy objects pulled into it; as you can see in the latter half of this clip, the pieces that were pulled into it fall back to the ground, intact.
  • Its appearance is generally unrealistic, it starts as a bright white/purple emanation that lets much of the light of the background shine through, before growing with a black center.
  • It suddenly disappears, for no discernible reason.
  • If the timer being messed with is meant to be support, that doesn't work; black holes don't just make time jump all over the place, they specifically make time slow down near them.
Presumably for these reasons, @DMUA rejected the calculation for this, yet it was still added to the profile after this rejection.

I think it's been there so long that I can't just remove it myself, but it's gotta go.

I think it should be removed entirely, instead of being bundled into the "far higher".

After discussion, I think it'd be fair to chuck it down as Unknown Environmental Destruction; it pulls in large parts of the environment, and eventually kills players.

I don't know much about how black holes work IRL so can't speak on the matter but if it really doesn't qualify for our standards then I'm fine with removing the 5-A AP and just turn it into "far higher with Disasters". For the record, DMUA's comment didn't register as a rejection to me. He said he was unsure if the black hole fits our standards but the calculation itself was apparently fine.

I don't think it's good to bundle it like that, since non-real black holes can land at any tier. It's not actually necessarily far higher in any meaningful way.

It's far higher in the sense that like the other disasters, it's meant to cause massive destruction to the map and kill large numbers of players. What should it be indexed as other than "far higher"?

Ehh, I guess there might be something to the map destruction aspect. But that'd have to be marked as Environmental Destruction.

Yeah, but I'm not as fond of doing that for nuclear warheads since they have known tiers (starting at 7-C or so) and the initial blast happens at one point, where a target could be and receive the full energy. That doesn't really seem to be the case with the black hole.

Should the black hole be Unknown then?

That could work, actually.

Unknown (Pulls in large swaths of the environment and eventually kills players)
