Attack speed is the speed of attacks thrown like a bullet or a laser
Combat speed is the speed than you can dodge, jump, punch, etc
Reaction speed is the speed you can perceive and act on certain situations
Actually it would only be melee attack speed, a fighter's individual hook does not get faster or slower by hitting one or several in a row. Wouldn't parkour be a travel speed?Like king said, but be aware that reactions are singular actions on a timeframe, while combat is multiple actions, such as fighting, parkour, etc.
Then combat speed would be "composed of quick actions in a very specific situation within a combat (usually melee)".I mean fighting as a whole, dodging, headbutting, everything.
Parkour requires reactions, precision, speed and all limbs, so no, travel speed is moving in a straight line most of the time.
Why is it specified that there are several moves? The speed of a character does not vary if it performs one or more moves.Mainly projectiles, but that could take part.
Here's a better explanation.
Combat speed is moving your body in quick motions. Attack speed is the movement speed of an attack.
The movements of the characters in fiction do not vary in speed because they do one or more. There are only a few exceptions. It does for the same reason as to why travel speed doesn't mean combat speed, just because you can do a quick movement doesn't mean you can do that constantly, AKA in a fight
But why specify that the combat speed is several moves, if in fiction the characters almost always maintain the same speed even if they make one or several moves?Short burst speeds are a thing, and that's how we treat it, maintaining speed through a whole fight/section of movements =/= a single movement
