Looking more into it, and I can't find anything that contradicts UFO Robo Grendizer vs Great Mazinger being canon to the Toei shows. The Infinity movie supports it and there's a manga chapter that tells the same story again. Post original anime Mazinger Z, Great Mazinger and Grendizer should all scale to each other just fine. This means their strongest keys will fall on Tier 6 most likely because of a very impressive Grendizer durability feat. Manga versions should follow the same logic, but with all of them upscaling Mazinger Z's hydrogen bomb statement.

Bumping out with a Twitter art for the late 50th anniversary and Ken Ishikawa's birth month. (same artist already did him too).

UPDATE: Anyway, with Ideon's mention last page and how others truly are worth their title, I expanded the thread topic for other ol' day robots. (even though those two are still high priorities)

Anyone find it weird as **** when a robot has a human face on it? I just can't vibe with it, even if it's from a series I really like, such as Gurren Lagann.

I much prefer the mouth plate/mouth grille look.

Completely true, remember watching transformer prime and watching their mouths move like that was just strange

I like robots with human faces
Echoes back to the fact they are made in our image after all, as the idea of giant robots embodies both humanity's relationship with technology and representing powers beyond our control as humanoid figures (gods, giants)

Today's the day (or tomorrow for some of us), folks. A prequel manga (The Inception) has also been released on Comiplex a week ago.

Once it becomes publicly available in video form, remember to mark any notable information found in the episode under spoiler tabs, as it may not be available for everybody yet (considering country timezones) after a premiere in few hours.

Didn't expect this to happen early on, but it was revealed that Grendizer went berserk and destroyed Planet Fleed before Duke ended to Earth.

The planetary power level for Grendizer seems to get even more consistent. The previous episode (which has a similarly powerful weapon and HHS+ attack speed located in lunar orbit) reveals that it is a weapon created by God beyond Fleed's technological capacity, which may make it superior to Naida's proton bomb that destroyed Daridari, which was stated to blow up the entire Earth.

Also on a related topic, I've bought Feast of the Wolves for my PlayStation 5 a few days ago.

And Maria made her debut, she's still as silly and fun like before. Going forward from how advanced Fleed's technology truly is, she stated that Fleedians can make interstellar trips and control gravity, later mentioned by a professor that they cannot be compared with Earth's weapons.

In what appears to be Grendizer's quickest battle against a Saucer Beast, he spins Jirojiro around at blurry speeds while in a Spazer before throwing them with one hand and firing out Spin Saucers for the first time in this continuity.

While it's only a new opening sequence, Mazinger Z got it's own clip different from reused footage in last four episodes.

Nothing much happened in a new episode (outside of Tirona's Aquadizer being resistant to Space Thunder and attacking Duke by freezing the air to create superconductivity), but around the start, the Spazer's power (which is part of Grendizer's energy) was measured to be about 170 trillion joules and it's potential energy can be compared to that of a star.
