Clarification on Neon Genesis Evangelion

This is likely me just missing/forgetting something from EoE. I know that the final key for Shinji is how Unit-01 was in EoE. However, I would like to know exactly what the "Awakened" term for it is referring to. I've search online, and I couldn't find anything from the original canon that had an Awakened Unit-01. I just need some clarification

"Awakened" is referring to when Eva 01 attained the Fruit of Life as well as the Fruit of Knowledge and ascended to a higher being like Lilith/Rei/Adam. Specifically when towards the end of EoE when Eva 01 had already consumed the S2 engine (Fruit of Life/Adam) coupled with Eva 01 being a Lilith clone (Fruit of Knowledge) and then fusing with the Lance of Longinus to proceed to initiate the Instrumentality with giant Rei.

Though the term "awakened" isn't actually used in the original series, that's a term from the Rebuild series for when Shinji/Eva 01 started to initiate the near 3rd and 4th Impact. But it fits for what was happening in EoE so I guess that's why it's used.

Okay, that makes a lot of sense, thank you. Would a more fitting term be suitable for Unit-01 at that point? Like "Post-S² Engine Consumption"? Because I know when Googling "Awakened EVA Unit-01" I'll be directed to the Rebuild page on it.

Yeah, admittedly my suggestion doesn't exactly roll off the tongue even it is more accurate to the description
