CJ vs Violet Evergarden

CJ should be stronger physically and more skilled than Violet. She was of course a soldier and all, but this dude could solo and crush many policemen or gangs on his own and even tank few shots (hence why he has 9-A dura and it would be extremely hard for Violet to kill him)

Voting my man CJ

I guess she can still hurt him by weapons? She has good durability with her iron hands and can fight for long time.

CJ was able to easily defeat Snakehead with his kanata, even though he was an old man, he should have some skills with the weapon, this combined with the fact that CJ likely has better combat experience due to having killed more people than Violet and his superior durability should give him the edge in the fight. He also likely has more stamina so is likely to Violet get tired of fighting before him. So my vote goes to the one-man crime wave, and all around ghetto star.

Violet destroys him. Before even having any military training, Violet was considered experienced in many martial arts and in combat. In the war she was infamous for her skills, one of her scenes in the anime is utterly fodderizing a bunch of armed soldiers by herself, and she's skilled enough to use weapons she's never touched flawlessly, including a massive axe with a handle longer than she was tall.

She is ahead of him in skill by a lot.

CJ was able to go inside a military base full of trained soldiers by himself and steal a secret project with little issue, this not counting the amount of enemies that he had to kill during the full game. You could argue that she could have better hand-to-hand combat skills, but in terms of fighting experience CJ isn't just a regular thug with a gun,

Before the war ever happened, Violet was considered incredibly good with weapons ans already an expert in many martial arts. She was originally foubd by Gilbert's brother, whose entire squad of trained soldiers got chased and killed by her when she was nothing more than a child with utter ease. During the war, she was infamous for her skills. And when she goes rescue somebody in the anime, she literally drops from a parachute a few meters above heavy snow, lands and starts running merely an instant after, evading bullets without issue and taking care of 3 soldiers easily while making sure not to kill them.

She has much better skill feats, and has been at this for longer.

CJ is also a martial arts master (Taekwondo, boxing, muay thai) and is good in using weapons. He can crush gangs and armored policemen on his own with his hands alone if he wants to. Not to mention he has 9-A dura. Dude is a great h2h fighter and he has katana. Like Jiggy said, he's not a regular thug. He was through a lot fights and battles in hard conditions and still managed to win.

Oh no, I never said he didn't manage to, but I don't see his skill feats being at the same level. Like again, as a mere child Violet was already killing trained adult soldiers that were together while unarmed. She was considered above Gilbert too, also a martial artist and trained in the military. So that's a good chunk of her life just fighting, many times against really unfavorable odds and without 9-A resistance.

CJ was able to jump from a moving plane into a flying jet, force his way inside the jet and kill every assassin inside of it with relative ease. He killed a vast majority of gangs and policemen across the three main cities of San Andreas, this including S.W.A.T teams, FBI and the military, if you get technical he must have killed about hundreds or more men in total if count the gang territory sections. The fact that CJ manages to do all of this with no sign of proper training before shows that he's far superior to everyone Violet has ever fought before.

I don't even see how he's far superior, especially when most things they could do would be offset with that durability.

Plus, it was a war. Violet was more or less used as a weapon. Hundreds of people killed is not exactly a big number for her either.

CJ can endure few shots. He was still damaged. And he can fight even against helicopters and armored men at once that can kill him with one explosion

Depends. You can damage helicopter and kill policemen with bare hands in the game. He could outspeed police officers and casually one or two shot them. And this is CJ with katana.

It's not like he punched helicopters in the air xD He can damage them if they're on the ground after good beating. He has environmental advantage tho, in the city he can hind behind buildings etc.

They way he won with helicopters was shooting them, but they were sending armored FBI members and policemen with guns. He can kill them all with a katana which he has here.

after i checked their profiles, i think they're somewhat comparable, both in skill and combat experience, even thought CJ has better dura than her.. well...

CJ : 4

Violet : 1

CJ also is not a fan of killing but he will not hesitate. IIRC from anime Violet refuses to kill, tho SBA is here so she is willing to kill

If he needs to do it, he will do it. as of Violet she will probably think of 300 possibilities wheter or not to kill him.

???

Perhaps by putting him into a lock because Violet completely trashes his lifting strength? Or by specific strikes to back of the head, solar plexus or the chin and stuff like that? Do you really think you just develop a layer of super muscle above those?

He has 9-A durability, not tier 8 or 7. Violet has every mean to knock him out.

To emphasize what I am saying again, I get told CJ overcame trained people but he somehow just... do this. And instead of being something like "he just really knew how to fight", he gets way better when he gets actual martial arts training. So if there was an improvement, at what level was he before?

Even worse, we know Violet is extremely capable even with weapons she has never used before the moment she gets them. CJ on the other hand only has "can kill a lot of people" and "beat a guy that must be somewhat good with a katana using a katana". Both have killed stupid amounts of people, that is not a feat worth anything, but only Violet has done it without durability way above her AP, when she was a kid physically inferior to trained soldiers, and still getting rid of trained soldiers easily without killing them, which is way harder.

It's unknown how good at fighting CJ was before the events of the game, the only thing we see him doing before the game is robbing a regular civilian in Liberty City, and by the end of the game he manages to kill several trained soldiers without proper training, saying that he only manages to do that due to his greater durability doesn't make much sense because he doesn't just goes out like a maniac and starts shooting everyone. There are sections in the game where CJ uses stealth and kills several people without being noticed. You could guess that the soldiers that Violet killed as a kid were superior in durability, but the thing is that we know that CJ has 9-A durability, so the idea that she wouldn't hava a problem killing CJ just because she killed people with supposedly greater durability than her doesn't hold up.

The kill count does matter because we know for sure that the variety and number of foes that he had to face are greater than Violet's, granting better combat experience. Another thing is that there's no implication that CJ had contact with most of the fireweapons in game before the events of the plot, and considering that Grove Street used to get most of weapons from Emmet, who only has old 9mms, we can assume that he never had problem learning how to use new weapons. He's also a quick thinker since he managed to steal the Black Project inside area 69 without a backup plan or anything, The Truth just left him there alone.

Again, Violet may have better hand-to-hand combat skills, but CJ has better durability, stamina and has faced wider variety of foes.

???

how does she managed knock out CJ while he literally survived after falling from the highest skyscraper in his verse or literally tanked point blank rocket launcher without much problem?
