I think one's just manipulating Life Energy/ Life Force (Chi/Ki) and the other is just Energy......

Chi Manipulation should be a subset of Energy Manipulation though.

The former is tied to "life force", and the latter is just general energy manipulation. Someone firing an energy weapon doesn't have any ties to "Chi" / "Life Force".

Bit nebulous since the whole "life force" side of things can have a lot of different definitions/applications depending on the series.

But I think there's generally enough of a distinction.

I think "Chi" should be renamed to "Ki" since Ki is a more used term

chi seems kinda like a useless ability, since the "practical applications" are just possibly having some other abilities, chi manipulation itself means basically nothing definitively, especially considering how it changes between verses.
We should get rid of abilities like those which are just sometimes combinations of different things, like how undead immortality is 99% of the time literally just type 2

Plus I thought Ki Manipulation is about manipulating energy into like projectiles while Energy Manipulation is manipulating energy withing ones body or even an object like a sword

Technically they more or less mean the same thing, only Chi often refers to the life energy/spirit energy of the body and/or soul.
