I'm currently doing some massive revisions for Epithet Erased, but the problem is that I am struggling to identify what kind of energy system Epithets/Epithet Aura qualifies for.
For context, Epithets in the verse are basically words attached to people's souls at birth that give them supernatural powers relating to said word. (For example, if someone had their Epithet be "Voltage" or something, then they'd probably get electricity powers or something like it.) People born with Epithets are called "inscribed," and those without are "mundies."

- Inscribed have a certain amount of energy they can harness in the form of their abilities without tuckering out, with certain abilities requiring more energy than others. This is shown when Molly was unable to nullify all of her friends' transmutations, only really being capable of doing 2 people at once. She also had to go back into her bug form in order to have enough energy to protect everyone from Graham.
- They can also imbue objects with Epithet energy, such as the Arsene Amulet and Zora’s bullets.
- The more energy put into an ability, the more powerful it becomes (for example, Molly being able to lessen an ability requires less energy than completely nullifying one).
- Epithets are all tied to their inscribed’s soul.
- All abilities come from what the inscribed interprets their epithet as and how creative they can be with it, meaning all abilities they have are just different applications of the same underlying energy.
- There are different levels for each statistic anyone has, with these levels being split into 3 tiers: ★ (Star/level 1-40), ⍟ (Ring/level 41-80), & ✦ (Nova/level 81-100). Everyone is born at level 1 and can increase their epithet’s level by training it. This means that an inscribed’s epithet energy is something inherent to and linked with their own skill and ability, rather than just being something they can naturally do, as well as increasing over time.
