I am new to this site, so can anyone please help me with the power rankings? I don't understand them very well. I was told on a different forum that they existed because I accidentally put a 5-B against a High 7-C, which I don't understand at all. Can I please have someone explain it to me?

Is simple, the tier mean the level of power a character have, someone of High 7-C have a Large Town Level of destruction while a 5-B have Planet Level, so in this case you put someone that can destroy a large town against someone who can destroy a planet. The tier isn't absolute, but unless you have things that can ignore the differences in power (like for example a character 7-C with death manipulation against some 5-B that can't resist death manipulation) then that sort of fight are basically impossible to win for the the character with lower tier.

Oh, ok. Thanks man!

Also, on this site, if there is a 7.5x difference between two characters will result in a one-shot for the stronger character, which is normally why we don’t put two characters in different tiers (An example being High 7-C vs 6-C) against each other because the difference is usually more than 7.5. So it is best to create matches for characters in the same tier (An example being High 7-C vs High 7-C). See here for more information.

And to avoid creating more stomp threads, you can see this page for more information.

No problem.

Just another tip, even if both characters you want to do a match have the same tier, make sure to see what kind of abilities they have. After all, it won’t be fair to put a guy who can only punch and kick against another person who can erase their existence by looking at them.

Another is that characters will have justification for why they are in a certain tier in their Attack Potency, Striking Strength and/or Durability. There should be either a link to a calculation of whatever feat they scale to, or to the name of another character who they scale to. You can check the Verse Page to see if there is a list of calculations for the entire verse (Not every verse page will have a list of calculations but some certainly do)

Hope you have a good time on the wiki.

Thank you a lot! So far, this site has been great fun, and it's only day one.
