Mary Sues do not necessarily win every fight, but are just so special compared to the rest of the cast that the plot revolves around them, everyone can't stop mentioning how special they are, and generally possess good looks of some kind (which Ichigo does given the art style).Jjp7123 said:

That moment when you realize that Ichigo only train 3 times in the whole series. Urahara taught him the basics to fight, Yoruichi teach him Bankai and Ginjo taught him Fullbring. While Yhwach/Fake Zangetsu taught him to never give up. Everything else is self thought, why do you think he can only spam Getsuga Tensho? Ichigo is a noob with everything at his disposal, yet look how strong he is without having master anything besides his fake bankai.

Doesn't he already spam more than 2 getsuga's at the same time? He also haves that new form from the new chapter. Also, did everyone forget during the Ulquiorra fight Ichigo cover his sword in a Getsuga to make his blade strike as hard as a getsuga?Jjp7123 said:

Let's just say that Kubo isn't particularly imaginative or inventive when it comes to powering up the heroes. Not to mention the fact that everyone is critically incompetent and tactically inept (Nanao invents a Kido spell that temporarily nullifies Quincy abilities... doesn't teach it to anyone, Shunsui sends Unohana to her death just to power up Kenpachi, sacrificing their single best healer and allowing countless Shinigami to be maimed or killed by the initial Quincy onslaught e.t.c.)Jjp7123 said:

Was it really that hard to make an Arc of Ichigo going through the academy instead of the fullbring arc? He could had learn kido. Or Cero, Shinji can do it with the mask on.

Urahara could have use that sword to give him the powers back, uner Yamamoto's orders, so he could enter the academy a learn the right way. They would had to reveal Isshin as a Shiba to get him in, since they were a noble family. Ginjo could had been the villan, maybe another student, a rebel or even the teacher. He backstory would be different. They could had even make him Aizen's son. Revenge or free his father to many ideas with little time.

But that right there. Why would Ichigo want or be given his powers back if there was no antagonist? Aizen was the main one and he was defeated (not even defeated but yeah). So Bleach could have ended there. And the reason Kubo did the Fullbring arc was to focus on Chad. but I heard he was rushed to end it so he couldn't do much.

Because he feels powerless to protect his friends, he explain this in the Fullbring arc that for month he couldnt find away to get his powers back. Iirc it was before throwing the badge to the river.KuuIchigo said:

A person who kepts searching power after 17 months, doesn't want a normal life like he said. If some one close to him offer him the chance to see Rukia, Renji and all the others again would he take it? Do you even saw how he reacted when his friend were fighting hollows and he couldn't follow after them.

Lets agree to disagree since this is getting off-topic. But I don't believe he would - if he really wanted to, he would have went to Kisuke; the person who helped him get his powers back at the beginning of the series. But that would have depended if Bleach was going to keep going after Aizen.

He would have gone to him , if the plot didn't demanded the fullbring storyline. Bad writting.

Lets say he does gets his powers back because he wanted to meet Rukia and others again, what would make him go to the academy and learn? Hollows are fodders so I don't think he needs kido or anything. Aizen is sealed and there is no one else to defeat. I could only see him going to the academy as way for Kubo to end Bleach. And if you say there is going to be another antagonist, Ichigo won't have time to go learn. Everyone would be focused on the bad guy and his group. But I digress, we should wait a few more chapters to see if it's needed to change his classification.

Simple, Soul Society could offer him or in exchange for giving him his powers he needs to go through basics in the academy. Knowing his father is a one he would want to go, he would also have more time to spent with everyone, his other friends can take care of the hollows like they have been doing for 17 months. There are so many ways to do it, it doesn't even need to be forced.

But Soul Society wouldn't do that. The only reason why they gave Ichigo his powers back was because of Ginjou. This all goes back to needing an antagonist. And say what you will, the fullbring arc was suppose to be about Chad powers and not Ichigo getting his powers back. The editor was rushing Kubo to bring in the shinigamis so it ended up like that. We can have this convo on my wall if you want so we don't de-rail the thread (even though we did, sorry).

Let's say the plot isn't necessarily and strictly meta or out-of-universe. Since people literally plotted to use Ichigo's power, and some intentionally suppressed his power, so they can't be instantaneously interrupted by Ichigo, being used to further power themselves and some are wondering what he actually is.
