7/10 as well. Deducting alot of points for the shaky scaling. But everything else clutches up so well.

Nah, it got some entertaining slander. For about the first week then it devolves into nonsense but for the first week it's pretty fun
Like 6 maybe 7/10. If scaling isn't counted as a part of verdict then I think they were really weird with scaling, what scaled to who and what didn't scale, as well as a few abilities. Definitely the worst part of the episode cause the scaling as a whole was pretty bad. As for the fight, I think the script was kind of ass for Yuji. Denji had a good script though. It had some cool moments like Denji walking through the domain but at the same time they for some reason had it so that Yuji's domain only hit when he did the handsign which straight up isn't how domains work but yeah.
Also not sure if it was ever mentioned but what was the reason for Denji having poison resistance? The black box mentions it but it didn't give a reason

I enjoyed the episode, even if I disagreed with a lot of things. Quality-wise, I think it's the second-best Chainsaw Man episode behind Reze vs Bakugo, but that one was less interesting because there was no debate to be had.

The basis for poison resistance came from the Violence Fiend, who was suppressed using an immense amount of poisonous toxins and gases in order to weaken his power level. So we know that poison does not outright kill Devils, but it can weaken them under the right circumstances.
However, if the Violence Fiend can be nerfed through that level of poison exposure, then scaling that up to someone on Pochita's level would basically support poison resistance, plain and simple. The gap between them is far too massive for the same level of poisoning to be treated as equally effective.
We could defo use this for profiles.

Fair enough then. Kind of sucks cause the idea that Yuji's blood could've weakened him was a fun thing I thought would be incorporated leading into the match. Think it could've been something actually brought up cause leaving it in a black box without bringing up violence fiend is weird. Also would've been cool to see that in the fight in some way other than it basically being a "well we mentioned it once don't look into it further" type thing.

8.5/10 for me.
For the fight, they did a good job with Denji's Combat IQ and bullshitting and made Pochita look vicious, I wish Yuji used his other CT more. Having Denji feel sick for a moment after absorbing his blood only to feel better almost immediately would also help people understand what they meant by poison "resistance"
For Research i'd rather they used any other possible scaling for Denji rather than Asa's swords.
Like saying CSM cult made him stronger and then use the statement about him being near the level of a primal or Scale Final arc Denji to Asa being confident on keeping up with Gravity when she was previously terrified of Aging. (7-B+ vs Low 7-B)
They could also have made like Karaba 50% Lightspeed and scaled him to Yuji, then made Denji 1.25c with a highball so neither side feels like their character was being downplayed. (Specially when Denji was going to win regardless due to making him have an AP difference that big)

I don't see many people mentioning this, but I love how they showed the skill gap between Yuji and Denji at the beginning of the fight. Yuji was boxing him up and running circles around him, which was realistic and fun to see in action.

I would argue the nuclear punch was healed by her contract. The contract should also scale to Makima's.GunshyFever/Asa Mitaka

Only things i'd change are adding Limited to biological manipulation + transmutation, since it only applies to citizens of USA (even if it should apply to any country she believes she owns).GunshyFever/Asa Mitaka
I do think that its ambiguous if it comes from her natural abilities or contracts (a.k.a law manip) but i lean om the latter, since she was able to sacrifice the ring fimger of americans even before that.
I'd also add to her weaknesses that her contract's wordimg entails it would only work on lethal wounds that are not self inflicted, (Even if in theory nuclear punch contradicts this, Denji did beat her with a motorcycle accident)
And that she can be coerced into fighting less intensely if a devil she's "friends" with gets taken hostage.

Seeing the meltdowns is so fun ESPECIALLY when they gave Yuji the biggest benefit of the doubt in being able to separate Denji and Pochita
Also episode is a 9/10 for me; Animation was pretty fire (the fight choreography is genuinely underrated here), loved the track, lowkey a really funny episode too (the two nutshots and the Pochita speedblitz gag of having Yuji just blink out was pretty fun), the scaling is a little weird? I see people complaining about the Oregon Sword scaling but like they then immediately follow it up with "Ok and if we don't count this feat then there's also the Gun God scaling" so like IDK what people are complaining about with it. Denji also had his speed massively downplayed but it still beat Black Flash speeds, people really hype moments and aura convinced themselves on Yuji fully scaling to Dabura at least for speed huh? Even when afterwards they said that Denjis own speed was indeed lowballed to high hell. The post fight analysis overall though was fine imo, IDK why people are saying Yuji was out of character or a massive asshole just for his One clap back at Denji insulting him the entire time.
