Now that it's topical, I must remind everyone that Makima's contract is not regeneration. It's damage transferal, it turns attacks against Makima into accidents and illnesses among citizens of Japan.

Yoru's contract is also not regeneration, but damage transferal, though slightly different from Makima's. Yoru's contract instead forces citizens of California to take on the burden of her deaths.

When Makima died the attack was transfered to an appropriate injury, I.E. getting shot meant someone else got a hole in them

Can't be killed "lovingly" but also goes through lifestock way faster,still, far more troublesome than Makima's. The only heroic choice here would be trying to incap.
Wonder if the damage transferal would do anything if Pochita managed to eat her. Would it even be considered "Death" if it's the conceot getting erased/sealed within Pochita?

Yoru's fraudulent contract seems far worse than Makima's, it comes with the limitation that healing takes multiple lives. iirc Makima doesn't seem to be limited by that from what I saw

So, seems like Asa was chasing after her mom all along. Part of me is scared Fujimoto's incest fetish will take over and Denji and Asa will be brothers like Leia and Luke.

Meanwhile powerscaling-wise seems like Pochita's regen just beat it's fraud allegations.
He was able to regen from getting his chest erased so no heart weakness, his immortality is also coming in clutch, so it's seemingly not as stamina limited as Aging Devil/Gun Goddess made it seem.
Yoru also has the same regen contract as Makima, but using california. Her dimensional travel is also pretty good, seeing how she can summon and weaponize other devils from hell to her liking as well.

Fear wise and physically, Yoru is still worse than a full fledged Primal Fear. She ain't getting that insane passive heal unless her fear reaches their level

Even if her fearsomeness reaches the level of a Primal Fear, she will not gain their abilities. This is shown with Pochita, who has to pull his cord to activate regeneration instead of possessing automatic regeneration like other Primal Fears. These abilities can only be granted if one is born with the name of a Primal Fear, not simply by being feared on the same level as one.

The death devil doesn't want to die though, Pochita can just eat Yoru's head to win, but that's gonna be difficult with Yoru's range advantage and versatility.

Was rereading and... Yoru regen might either be inconsistent or the contract transfers the damage before any regen takes place. In the panel that the guy dies, she only had a cut on the side of her belly, not even sliced in half

I just realized that Yoru's contract is quite genius. Forget about the fact that it took multiple lives for just 1 death, if she'd not dead, she won't waste the contract and instead will only rely on her probably busted regen anyways.
