This contract Yoru made is different than Makima's contract. Makima's contract said that any attacks against her would be transferred to another person. Here, Yoru's contract said that the burden of her death would be transferred to another person. You'd have to carry an even more messed up perception of what "death" means in order to bypass such a contract. So there's definitely going to be a different manner to how this contract is dealt with.

This chapter is also another reminder that Yoru is a devil first and foremost, far from the laughably pathetic Yoru from earlier in Part 2. I swear, if 32 million people will have to be killed to defeat Yoru, that's gonna break Asa.

Anyway I wonder what Pochita's mindset is when it comes to murder, because we know he can perfectly understand people and yet despite Yoru telling him people die every time he hits her he keeps fighting her.
But then again, he also never ate the Aging Devil for some reason.

Typhoon upscale, I was wondering why a disaster devil like typhoon would be easily defeated like that, well we got the answer. Explained why bro was getting bigger and bigger in the movie.

We saw the old version of the baby in Asa's flashback.
 
The current Typhoon scaling with Fujimoto's quote is kinda like this:
AP: Varies, (insert to be calced value here, not the building calc, I'll calc it's rotational energy), varies (the devil gets larger and stronger through time), eventually will reach Large Town level (or Town+ at least), far higher (much stronger in it's true form, as it's still a baby), small city level via storm creation (or whatever value that we could get out from the movie)

Dura: Varies, at least building level (should be stronger than Eternity devil and the like, and it even has a building level calc), varies (the devil gets larger and stronger through time), eventually will reach (insert to be calced value here, should be about large building level/baseline city block or something), far higher (much stronger in it's true form, as it's still a baby)

Part 2:
AP: Varies, at least (insert to be calced value here, should be stronger than it's part 1 counterpart as it's much older here), varies (the devil gets larger and stronger through time), eventually will reach at least Large Town level (or Town+ at least, should be stronger than it's part 1 counterpart), possibly higher (if it can get even older, per Fujimoto's quote), at least small city level via storm creation (or whatever value that we could get out from the movie)

Dura: Same thing

How does this scaling sound?

He currently can't do so as any type of damage will just transfer to the civilians of California.
Otherwise he'd have done it off rip probably, after all he tried to eat her before and it nearly worked if not for an unknown factor stopping him.

That contract does not prevent existence erasure, a clean bite of her head should be enough. What's stopping Pochita is range, AoE, versatility and endurance in contrast to Yoru. He can erase her from existence, but she's effectively keeping him at bay with brute force and he can't close the gap with speed since they are evenly matched in that department 1 on 1.

and I think Pochita is still hesitant because Asa/Yoru has true feelings for Denji, when Pochita eats Asa/Yoru, Denji loses his memory and won't remember that he also has another person who truly loves him
 
... It downed on me that Yoru making a contract with the US is more intelligent than just "wow, they helped me so much so lets make a contract". Japan is in the epicenter of the Devils vs Humanity war now, so casualties are ramping up a lot, so not going for a contract with them was a smart move

The contract is likely similar to Makima's where anything that is considered an attack is immediately transferred to someone else. I don't think Pochita's Existence Erasure can stop that, but we'll see.

Yeah Pochita could erase Makima, that's why she considered the possibility of losing and being eaten by him, which would be an honor in her eyes.
