Can you layer hax infinitely?

For example let’s say Character A has a strong resistance to Mind Manip. At first, character B uses base line mind Manip on character A. The attempt will fail due to Character A’s high resistance. But then character B tries again and starts layering his mind hax. Let’s say he layers it up to any high finite number, But character A still isn’t affected. So then Character B layers his mind hax infinitely and that starts to work on character A.

Also, how would this be interpreted on said characters page?

Both could have infinite layers but "increasing infinitely" sounds like a finite number that keeps becaming bigger and bigger.
In the character page there will be something like:

Character A:
Resistence to Mind manipulation - countless (or some other words that depend what is accepted) layers.

Character B:
Mind manipulation - countless/infinite (depends on what is accepted and it will be at least +1 layer compared to A) layers
