Trying to fix VSBW animal pages is like trying to stop the Titanic from sinking by drinking all the water but I'm making a page for a fictional dolphin so I figured might as well. OG page, new P&A. In addition to the following I tried to put scans on most things which the current page lacks. You could probably go above and beyond with a standard tactics section but I don't feel like it :)

Additions:
  • Large Size - They can get up to over 3 meters long
  • Minor Bodily Weaponry -They have teeth, which aren't necessarily meant for fighting large creatures but are still capable of doing some damage. They also are known to tackle predators and stun prey with tail slaps.
  • Enhanced Senses - Went into more detail regarding their echolocation, as well as their eyesight and hearing.
  • Limited Self-Sustenance Type 3 - Like some other animals dolphins can essentially sleep with half their brains at once and continue to remain active using the other half, meaning they're never fully asleep.
Removals
  • Sound Manipulation becomes minor because while they have the capacity to modulate and focus their vocalizations in a way that humans can't that is still barely Sound Manip if at all
  • Resistance to Poison Manipulation - While very funny the pufferfish thing has actually been kind semi-debunked, it's not clear if they were doing it on purpose and furthermore they might've gotten such small doses of the poison that it just naturally wouldn't kill them. It was overall kinda hard to find info so I just removed it.
Also they should be downgraded to "just" 9-C because they really shouldn't scale to their own theoretical max KE. Yeah they do ram sharks in self-defense and what have you but that's different from going up to their max theoretical speed and smashing their skulls against a concrete wall. They also really shouldn't be implied to scale to animals like a great white shark. I would also remove the fact that they can hold their breath well from their stamina rating, this is just something they've evolved to do, not a showcase of their physical endurance. So I guess that just goes down to Unknown, I couldn't find much.

What animal other than an elephant or a whale wouldn’t hurt itself badly from smashing its face into a brick wall at full speed (ignoring how I think that would hurt an elephant to since last I saw they broke a stone wall carefully).

I would break my hand if I punched a metal desk at max strength, would I not scale to my punches? I think the true issue here is that we keep having real world creatures durability scale to their ap despite the fact it’s very clear that shouldn’t be the case since all animals can severely hurt themselves through their own power. Have you ever slightly walked into a bed or something, barely moving yet that’ll still mess your leg up. Or more importantly seen animals attack members of their own species, usually leading to quick deaths if they land any fatal hit.

Which is why they shouldn't be scaled to their own KE?

If you ram into a less hard material it won’t hurt yourself as badly, but I do think full KE should be listed separately but still usable since a dolphin can and have been shown to just absolutely ram something. Just most animals should not that’s not their truly normal striking strength (but for animals that go for rams I don’t see why it won’t be listed) and I always advocate for many animals having their durability’s downgraded

My main point was with the brick part is, ramming yourself into a hard surface will mess you up, but into most creatures that won’t be an issue since they aren’t blocks of brick or metal and won’t have all your energy just go back into yourself. Like when you smack your leg into something and it messes it up since the object didn’t budge an inch.

That was my intention

Based and epic revision (it also makes sense) I agree wholeheartedly.

My only nitpick is that I'd replace Self-Sustenance with Body Control, because they still need to rest, they just do it in a more efficient way.

Sure, fair enough.

My only note is that the "minor" and "limited" parts of the P&A have to be capitalized. The rest is good. I also agree with Saman's correction.
