Boros speed upgrade

Boros launched saitama to the moon in about 3 seconds. Which is about Mach 400,000+.

Now Boros was going all out of Saitama so when he Launched Saitama with the first punch, then caught up to him, shouldnt that put Boros speed at Relativistic?

I didn't know how far you kicked someone equals your speed. Oh wait that's not a thing.
No, you're missing the point. Boros was able to catch up to Saitama after launching him.

Ohh I see. But how do we know he was using same amount of strength as his meteoritic burst kick.
It was the focus of his journey, to find an opponent for him to go all out on.

No I mean Boros seem to put more power into that kick or really concentrated. I don't see Boros doing the same thing with fast spamming punches.

In the manga it was just one punch, then one kick.

@Huesito

I believe it was mentioned a while back for throwing feats that the characters' speed should be affected by the speed someone throws an object, since it's a direct factor in the object's movement.

That said, I'm not a math person, so someone else would have to give more definite confirmation.

You would need a calculation blog in any case.

Just a reminder we don't make calcs based off the anime. Saitama had his anime moon jump calc removed because of that and Tatsumaki was denied a major downgrade that would've come from calculating the anime version of her feat.

If we're to be consistent, we'd have to calc the manga version of Boros kicking Saitama to the moon.

This is a Canon feat though. Tatsumaki's feat was filler.

What? Tatsumaki's feat appeared in both the manga and the anime. It isn't filler. Or even if you think her feat was filler in the sense it served little relevance to the plot, it's still canon. And Tatsumaki's feat is far more important to the story than Boros kicking Saitama to the moon.

Whether or not it's filler isn't even relevant. The point is this site uses the manga versions of OPM feats to calc. Not the anime versions.

And like Aiden said if we're to be consistent, we can't deny the use of cinematic time from the anime version of this feat yet use it for Boros's

Also, the OPM anime gave the planet five moons or five round celestial bodies that surronded the planet. So that might mess with any calc assuming that the four closer objects have notable size.

Here's the kick and the punch/kick scene in case anyone needs it

Well they're all orbiting the earth at the same distance if we assume that it's the same as the one we have here it'd be 384,400,000 meters and using the 3 seconds for the timeframe would yield 1.281x 10^8 m/s or Mach 376,541.58 or 43% of Light-Speed being Relativistic

Seeing as how the anime is secondary canon I think it's safe to go with it because the speed feat Saitama currently has was portrayed as just a casual hop back to Earth whereas Boros was giving it his all.

The Wikipedia page for OPM shows that the writer of the manga, ONE, had no direct involvement in the direction of the series.

Which means that unfortunately, the anime is considered non-canon, despite statements otherwise.

If during a cut a change of scenery occurred and the character wasn't depicted travelling before, or if obviously a part of the travel between two points is left out, it should not be assumed that the time was depicted linearly, hence cinematic time shouldn't be used in such cases.
The scene with Boros kneeing Saitama to the Moon had a scene change immediately after, as the scene goes (Boros knees saitama) -> (Saitama crashes to Moon). We do not exactly see Saitama actually traveling towards the Moon in detail. Thus, the above rules applies.

Actually Murata had a significant amount of involvement.

It still does not matter. The author of OPM must have had direct involvement in directing the series itself for the anime to be canon.

The only way the OPM series can be canon is if ONE's name shows up on the directors list on the Anime television series section. Only Shingo Natsume's name is listed at the moment.

That's not true though, because One gave Murata the greenlight to add whatever content he wanted. So it still counts as canon.

Not really. He lets Murata do a lot of the desgins, but ONE still writes everything. He sends Murata storyboards for scenes and Murata has said that ONE has rejected enough material from him to fill a few volumes. So it's not like Murata has free regin on the project.
