Alright! First CRT for the new forum; first of several.

These are just a bunch of assorted revisions for stuff that needs to be added/fixed.
  • Monkeys apparently all have the magic power to pull darts from thin air)
*Quincy is also confirmed to occasionally use darts for fun
  • Monkeys know sign language
*Also confirmed that Entienne’s drones can’t be flown in the rain, for when that profile's made
  • It’s stated quite a few times through the Q&A that the monkeys are aware of the player and can feel the player interacting with them (they say the interactions tickle)
  • Spike Tower needs Preparation (as the entire purpose of Spike Factories is to place them somewhere they can build up spike quantity)
  • Monkey Engineer’s Ultraboost should have preparation via stacked charging and needs Higher in speed section while boosted
  • Wizard Monkey necromancers require previously collected souls to summon Undead Bloons ([[Preparation]])
  • Remove “likely higher” section from Alchemist Monkey as it’s describing statistics amp and not Alchemist Monkey’s AP
  • Bloon Skins are canon
  • Bloons are conscious
  • Bloons series Bloons and Bloons Super Monkey Bloons should probably just be removed since they’re unrelated to the main Bloons chain
  • Lead Bloon has resistance to Ice Monkey’s regular ice magic
  • DDT’s “laser cannons” should say “Energy Sentries”
  • BAD has Resistance to Time Manipulation (Cannot be affected by Time Bomb’s effect nor the Time Stop ability) and Sealing (Cannot be trapped in crystal by the Crystal Gem Apple)
    *HP Reducing should be resistance
  • Clean up keys (Reasons in Scaling Revisions Part 2)
    *Pre-Lead | Lead | Zebra & Rainbow | Ceramic | Golden | Miniature M.O.A.B. | M.O.A.B. | B.F.B. | Z.O.M.G. | D.D.T. | B.A.D.

===Monkey Biology===
So… I think the Monkeys are a bit overdue for some natural resistances. Let’s see what you guys think.
  • Self-Sustenance (Type 1): There are 3 space maps and the 6 underwater maps from BATTD
  • Heat Manipulation: Most of the monkeys either wear only accessories or wear rubber suits despite the 10 winter/frozen maps (+9 from BATTD) and 9 volcanic maps (+6 from BATTD)
  • Ice Manipulation and Radiation Manipulation (Cosmic Radiation)w: The 3 space maps noted prior
  • Partial to Time Stop: Unlikely but here nonetheless. Time Stop power slows Bloons to 10% speed but only reduces Monkeys to 30%

==Scaling Revisions==
OKAY, now onto the stuff that actually needs to be discussed.

Currently, the scaling for Bloons Tower Defense’s MOABs (specifically the minimum value via size) really bugs me since they don’t really have a proper value to scale to.

While on break, I calced here for the energy output of Obyn’s Wall of Trees ability, specifically the energy to grow the four trees. The ability can erase up to 3000 RBE or 5000 RBE depending on Obyn’s level before it is “filled” and destroyed. (For clarification, Red Bloon Equivalent is an in-game value that compares Bloons to the Red Bloon, which is the weakest at a value of, obviously, 1. In terms of AP, the Bloons deal damage to the Player relative to their RBE, with one or two exceptions for special Bloons.)

The reason I bring this up is because, even though the ability functionally works more as Existence Erasure than AP due to its description, the BFB falls in the middle of these two values in BTD6 at 3214, meaning Wall of Trees needs to be nearly empty to destroy a BFB. Therefore, I think the BFB should scale to this value (City Block level) as it would make sense given its placement with RBE. If you want something more concrete to prove this should scale to the BFB’s AP, Ocean Guardian Obyn’s Kraken variant of the Wall of Trees should be more akin to actual AP as it summons tentacles to kill the Bloons rather than a wall of trees.

Now, that comes to the question then of where the higher MOAB-class Bloons (ZOMG and BAD’s minimum values, as well as DDT’s possibly AP value) should scale. In this scenario, given the lack of other feats to scale them to (ignoring the Island level and Country level feats via comparing to Sun Avatar and Sun Temple respectively), I think they should be scaled to this feat via either RBE or Health.

ZOMG
  • Health: 5x BFB (2.847e+11, City Block level)
    *x2 for Fortified (5.693e+11, Multi-City Block level)
  • RBE: 5.182x BFB (2.951e+11, City Block level)
    *x2 for Fortified (5.901e+11, Multi-City Block level)

BAD
  • Health: 25x BFB (1.423e+12, Multi-City Block level)
    *x2 for Fortified (2.847e+12, Multi-City Block level)
  • RBE: 17.349x BFB (9.878e+11, Multi-City Block level)
    *x2 for Fortified (1.975e+12, Multi-City Block level)

The reason I’m not discussing down-scaling the MOAB is because greater Wall level characters that cannot normally solo it are usually capable of doing so after having their range and attack speed boosted. So, it would make sense to leave the MOAB at 9-A, as with the DDT’s normal stats.

Even if this doesn’t get accepted, the MOABs can just be scaled the same way as the rest of the Bloons, which puts them mostly in the same spot.

==Scaling Revisions Part 2: Electric Bloongaloo==
And back to stuff that just needs to be added. Regardless of whether or not the MOAB-class Bloons get upgraded, most of the monkeys are not currently scaling as high as they should be due to an original lack of proper understanding. Because positioning is key and a lot of the maps have drastically different proportions and area affected by placements, some of these scalings might require very specific placements and some might not be as high as they could be. I personally used Monkey Meadow as much as possible for this. The towers that have (via sheer quantity of projectiles) are specifically upgrades whose entire gimmick is throwing lots of projectiles, such as Grandmaster Ninja and Pop and Awe.

So here’s all the adjustments that need to be made. I also put the towers that don’t have profiles yet/won’t get profiles (Monkey Village, most Heroes, etc.) for the sole purpose of having it here and collected.

  • Camo (BTD4), Purple, Black, and White should be downgraded to Street level as being twice as powerful as Pink Bloons is still only 9-C
  • Lead Bloon should be linked to Ring of Fire’s calc instead as that’s the weaker of the two calcs that still pops it
  • Zebra is comparable in RBE to Lead, while Rainbow is twice as powerful as Zebra; though they can both still be popped by towers like Dart Monkey
*So either make them Glass Cannons (Wall level AP but Street level Durability) or just call it game mechanics and make them Wall level all around
  • Ceramics will continue to be treated as above Lead Bloons all around (x10 as Leads can still be popped in one hit, but Ceramics require 10)
    *Wall level+ (1.91e7 Joules)
  • Gold Bloon is x300 stronger than Leads
    *Small Building level (5.73e8 Joules)
  • Mini MOAB is x100 stronger than Leads
    *Small Building level (1.91e8 Joules)
  • MOAB
*Health: 200x Lead (3.82e8, Small Building level)
    **x2 for Fortified (7.64e8, Small Building level+)
  • ZOMG needs to be clarified that it scales to BTD5 Sun Avatar
  • BAD needs to be corrected to be comparable to sacrifice-less Sun Temple

Dang dude. Honestly really nice work. The issue I have is the MCB upscaling for the bad based on RBE possibly being a game mechanic, but otherwise everything else looks good. Awesome work man.

But for the BAD I say that we can mention a "Possibly MCB" rating for it. Though how do you feel about scaling it to the Super Monkey towers?

I feel like I recall RBE being mentioned somewhere in-lore but I would have to double check... But I'll see what others think about it.

As for scaling ZOMG and BAD to Sun Avatar and Sun Temple respectively, if I had to be 100% honest, I'm not really sure. The lack of lore in that regards is a bit trippy. It also then brings into question whether or not the other towers capable of soloing them would scale as well if kept.

Idk. Still have to go through most of the Q&A, so... I'll see what I come up with

I'd say if a tower can solo a MOAB class bloon that the Sun Avatar can't they should probably scale up. Or at least get a possibly rating.

Got it. Any notes about the rest of the upgrades/additions in the first spoiler box?

We have to determine how valid RBE scaling is first. Unless you mean the consecutive damage stuff, then no that probably wouldn't be valid durability wise.

I meant more so about, for example, the Monkey Biology resistances. Whether or not they were valid. But yeah, working on going through the rest of the Q&A to see if there's any mention

So, I'm only at June, 2019 at the moment for blogs. Almost done but not quite yet. Here's what I have so far, however. Bolded stuff is more important for profiles.

Yes. Due to updates, the heroes that are currently posted do have a few new things. Also, the Scaling Revisions section of the OP is a calc for Obyn which may or may not boost the whole verse

Okay, so I got an answer about RBE Basically it appears the monkeys did come up with the term.
*This is also the second time they mention friendly fire being turned off. I didn't note the first time because it seemed like it was just a one-time joke, but this is the second time, so...[/URL]

just saw this thread. One note on something said by Qawsed, there will be things that a sun avatar beat that another tower can beat, or perhaps beat more easily. This doesn't necessarily mean that it scales up. This is because towers tend to be a bit specialized. For example, the cripple moab tower (5-x-x sniper) can easily solo a ZOMG, but can't handle like 20 grouped pink bloons. Does this mean that a 0-0-2 ice monkey which can absolutely take out 20 pink bloons without breaking a sweat scales up from a ZOMG? No, it does not. This does not mean that towers can't scale in this way. You've just got to be careful in your reasoning. For instance, it's pretty safe to say that a monkey sub's first strike ability has better AP than a sun avatar

Yeah, that's the original reasoning behind the "At least, Likely" scaling. The intent was to give the smaller scaling to the regular towers and leave the island/country tier for the Super Monkey, given their godly status

Yeah, I had no plans to do anything like that. I already included a list of which towers can pop which Bloons, and those Bloons all have their current rankings. My only goal with scaling the BFB and above to Obyn's calc was to provide that lower value to which the non-godly towers would scale

I'm fine with that in. We may need a blog to explain how that all works scaling wise though.

Working on a blog at the moment. Just to double-check, the BFB scaling to Obyn was accepted and we're using RBE to scale the ZOMG and BAD, correct?

So I realized I used the wrong RBE value for the BFB (3124 RBE/800 HP is correct. 4824 RBE/1600 HP is the Fortified value). This does mean the BFB doesn't withstand Obyn's attack as easily, but the point still stands. Fixed the tiering on the OP as well

I would link the Dev post about RBE being an in-universe thing in the blog's intro. Then it should be fine to link.

I've made some comments on the thread with my thoughts. To reiterate, I don't think that the current method of scaling towers to eachother works very well on account of towers typically being specialized and placing them in the same location every time will put a lot of towers out of their comfort zone while putting other towers into ideal positions. Also, there's a minor error where you said that zebras have the same RBE as rainbows even though a rainbow should have a little more than twice the RBE of a zebra. I'm also not sure I agree with lead scaling

Alright. responded to your comments FRIMI. I do agree that they aren't good maps for testing out the average, and I should have thought that through.

I'll wait on doing the edits until that gets settled, but I will start looking at better map options

As a guess wouldn't the "best" map option be something like the very center of Logs for the vast majority of the towers? You could use a float and sandbox to test everything out.

I don't like Logs because of how many crosspaths there are, especially with the second half of the map looping over to cross the first half so much. It's even further from the average than the two maps I currently use. "Best" just means the most average map for them. So not something super short like Flooded Valley, but not something super long with a ton of crosspaths either

So something like Spice Islands or Lotus Island would probably be best

yeah that seems like a good pair of maps in my opinion. I still think that each tower should be placed in an ideal location rather than the same spot every time

The reason I had put them where I had on those two maps was because those two spots gave them the most track to attack. But yeah, I'll check those two maps and see what happens. But Lotus Island and Spice Islands both give multiple spots to place towers optimally, even if the flowers do get in the way somewhat on the former

also consider cubism. In the loop could be another map that's good for most towers, water included. It's got good curves as well as straightaways. It'll undershoot very few towers. Maybe middle tier boomerangs, low tier ice and tack shooters, and probably something else, but I think it's a pretty good general map if you don't want to use logs

Okay, I updated the scaling for the Regular Towers. Most were done in In The Loop, but they do all say where they were tested

Agh, I'd marked what track I thought would be best for testing Super Monkey but then forgot to actually do it.
Super Monkey (Tested on left of KARTNDARTS)
*Base: Soloing Ceramic
**Laser Vision: Soloing MOABs
**Plasma Blasts: Should be able to solo BFBs with all three upgrades, considering it gets to Ceramic with either path 2 or 3, and the fact it can do it on other tracks
*Sun Avatar: Soloing ZOMGs
**Sun Temple Sacrificeless: Soloing Fortified ZOMGs but fails to pop BADs as is consistent with other maps
**Sun Temple Full Sacrifices: Can solo rounds past 100
**True Sun God Sacrificeless: Soloing BADs and can pop the outer layer of Fortified BADs
**True Sun God Full Sacrifices: Can solo Round 150
**Avatar of a Vengeful Monkey: Can solo rounds past 200
*Robo Monkey: Soloing Fortified BFBs
**Technological Terror: Soloing ZOMGs, EE erases BFBs
**Anti-Bloon: Soloing Fortified BADs, EE erases ZOMGs

Apparently. I put him in the middle of the left circle with 2/0/5, and that was the results. Even without Monkey Knowledge and on a map like Winter Park, 2/0/5 can get past the Ceramics, so a 2/2/5 would absolutely be capable of it without even accounting for the black hole

So our current 6-B calc do we go with a Sacrificeless Temple or a full powered temple? Since that effects all BAD scaling more or less.

Comparing the size of the sphere to the Temple, it appears the image is actually with sacrifices (Military Sacrifices), so... How do we treat this information?
