Intro
One year ago, Black Clover gained Mftl speed by calculation, but now "yesterday" Black Clover Chapter 376 has been released and it contains a very important speed statement. So let's go look at the content.

Fierce content!!
Paladin Morgen is currently listed as being stronger than both Yami and Lucius. Of course, the magic Paladin Morgen uses is light magic. It is currently stated to have an attack speed equivalent to the speed of light. And more importantly, Yami said that just having to deal with these attacks with the Black Moon was enough. He was also shocked by Paladin Morgen's speed. Didn't I tell you that before Yami he was able to One Shot Lucius with a single slash? Then let's compare it with Yuno who had to be seriously injured to defeat Lucius. And don't forget that the Yuno when he defeated Lucius was Yuno whose AMP was above speed 478.48c. Oh, I forgot to mention that another thing is Yuno 478.48c before AMP he struggled to keep up with Lucius' speed.

Finally
I just want to top speed Black Clover right now
Demon Light Magic (Ftl) > Light Magic (Speed of light ) > Yami > Yuno after AMP > Luicus > Yuno cals 478.48c
It's a real shame that Black Clover once had speeds as high as Mftl+ and was reduced to Mftl until now Demon Light Magic, which only had speeds of Ftl, became the fastest in the verse, followed by Light Magic users has the speed of light, while everyone else has the speed of just Relativistic+
Therefore, there are only 2 speed cals that can be used :

Agree : CloverDragon03,Damage3245,DarkDragonMedeus,Maverick_Zero_X
Disagree :
Neutral :

If so, could you please leave your comments about this? I'll take care of it later.
I do agree that the verse seems to be capped at the Speed of Light now. Problem is, I don't want to get into this whole thing just yet. Calcs and scaling as a whole would need to be adjusted

Attack speed is combat speed.
arnt those are different things?

"

Attack Speed

The speed at which an attack moves. For example, X character is hypersonic, but he can do an attack that is a natural beam of light, the speed for the attack is different from the speed of the user, hence the attack would be lightspeed even if its user isn't.

Combat Speed

The speed at which a character can fight"

Not the most knowledgeable on the verse but is it possible this statement is just an understatement/hyperbole? Why should this of all statements be the one that we exclusively accept as lightspeed? And might it be a smart idea to look at the raw text to avoid usage of a possible mistranslation? The Term "Lightspeed" is used a lot in this series and just seems to denote something being fast so I'm not sure if every instance if any should be unquestionably used. (Sorry for a bit of shotgunning, had a lot to say.)

I don’t see why you would take this statement as true when there is another statement “also” by Yami 300 chapters earlier about light speed which he could react to. This case seems to clearly be hyperbolic. Similar to “it is as fast as lightning “ and is just there to show that the speed is fast. I can already recall 2 statements of light speed

When a new feat comes The old feat will be replaced immediately. According to my understanding

Just because he can react to it doesn't mean he has that speed. Depending on how he "reacts" he can go from Relativistic to Relativistic+.

Maybe.

Depends on how it's used.

50/50,
I think there are two things to expect.

1)the RAW without a doubt, even if it is the vizmedia translation, it turns out it wouldn't be the first time they got it wrong. In the case of the first arcs they issued text that directly connected the manga to various novels.

2)If the RAW shows that the kanji of the 3 mentions of light speed there is the same, I guess that leaves us in a strange situation, Tabata would be referencing the same concept 3 times.

though my question is, if these are more figurative whats stopping the original statements during the eye of the midnight sun arc from being hyperbolic as well?

lightspeed and like light are very common figurative tools in japanese

No, the past mentions are literal. That is why it would be necessary to wait for the RAW of this mention.

As far as I know, that combination of Kanji is the most literal way to refer to the concept of 'Light Speed'.

I know of some likely hyperbolic ones.or at least one.

Tho prob a mistranslation

Yeah, THAT is a mistranslation, the kanji never has the right combination to assume it that way.

Unrelated (and prob counts as derailment) but I am prob going to be busy so would you like to hear my arguments for abilities like acasualty and make a thread on it if you agree with it since I might not be able to even tho I promised
