With the new upgrades, Bayonetta would probably win. One of her accessories, the Moon of Mahaa-Kalaa, reflects any attack regardless of power and gives her an extended Witch Time, at which point Bayonetta can tear Samus' armor apart with Bazillions.

I have a feeling that the updates and the match aren't just a coincedence...

Bayonetta would still need to be able to aim it in the direction of Samus who is still much faster than her (by alot)

Then what about if she uses the Selene's Light, which allows her to instantly activate Witch Time when she takes damage?

It still doesn't matter as Samus is just WAY above her even with Witch Time. Most of Samus' feats are from a planet with nearly 1000x earth's gravity, Samus would still be winking out of existance for Bayonetta even with Witch Time activated.

Correction, it's 960x Earth's gravity. I know little about Bayonetta so I can only contribute to Samus's side. Still though, the presentation of feats from Bayonetta's games should be mentioned here as well as most of Samus's feats, not just reiterating the gravity feat.

To be honest, does it really matter? Samus is still FTL without it and still has star level DC.

Not to say Samus has ALL of her equipment which would include Animus' gift (AKA Black Holes manipulation)

To be clear, the Animus' Gift is being able to create White Holes in order to cancel out Black Holes, hence the solution to the crisis at the end of Samus & Joey, with Black Holes popping up all over the place. I don't think this counts as Black Hole manipulation, in the sense that she can create, manipulate and destroy/negate Black Holes, that would be stupid OP. When it comes to whether or not Samus still has the Animus' Gift after the fact, I can thnk of two possibilities. 1) The Animus' Gift isn't something Samus herself can do alone, it requires the Ancient Ruins in some way to create White Holes. Due to this, the Animus' Gift isn't a permanent ability/power up, explaining why she doesn't use it later. 2) She lost it in Metroid Fusion anyway along wiht the rest of her stuff, since the Animus' Gift might have been useful for dealing with the X Parasites.

Yeah, I am quite sure it was a temporary power up and Samus gave it back to Animus once she was done.

The thread does say it can use everything of her equipment though. Not that she needs it.

If Bayonetta only has the limit of summoning Queen Sheba, then it would be Samus' win. However, if it is an all out battle with both at their peak performance, and Bayonetta is able to summon Omne, then it would be Bayonetta's win. With these certain limitations, I belive it would be Samus' win.

Bayonetta can't summon Sheba or Onme by herself. She needs another witch or a lumen to help her do either of those things.
Bayonetta can summon Omne if she has both Eyes of the World... Considering that the Right eye has the ability to "awaken" Jubileus by itself, combining Both Eyes can provide Bayonetta the power she needs to summon Omne. And since she is both an Umbra Witch and an Angel, she can use both Eyes without fail. Again, the story itself does not provide much...explanation to both the significance of both eyes and their power (since Bayonetta is stronger than Aesir himself). So it tends to get tangled up on how much power the Eyes do possess. Balder himself stated that the Eyes alone can awaken "god-like" powers like Aesir possessed and using them on Jubileus would allow the "rebirth" of the universe. So... from this statement, it seems that the Eyes are very overpowered and since Bayonetta has the ability to use them both, it would give her enough power to summon Omne (maybe in even in a higher form)... The Lore in Bayonetta is not at all very thorough....

Well... If it is an all-out battle and since Bayonetta has the ability summon Omne, albeit not alone , she will do so, if the battlemaster allows (since it is a situational summon).

not quite accurate. WHile you can summon Jubileus or Sheba with one eye, the whole ritual was deemed incomplete. Jubileus was nowhere as close to her full power (and still Bayonetta couldn't even give long lasting harm). as it was clear by how easily Sheba stomped her, and she was insane.

Also, Bay isn't stronger than Aesir (with eyes), Aesir stomped both her AND Balder together with both eyes until Loki intervened (while you damage him in the fight, the cutscene shows he was unaharmed while Bay and Bal were exhausted).

Also even using Omne, she is nowhere as fast to deal with Samus' speed (and Samus is quite pragmatic, she will kill her), has no way to tank her attacks (as some of Samus' attack ignore conventional durability) and, finally, nothing would save Bayonetta from Samus' black hole manipulation from Samus & Joey: Extreme

Wow, guys. You screwed up pretty bad this one. Due to Sheba's Universal Level attack potency and range, Bayo wins this fight. Remember, Samus isn't fighting one Universal Level opponent, but rather two. Also, Bayo and Sheba, unlike Samus, aren't restricted to fight on planets or surfaces with gravity, they can still move and fight FTL+ on the sky and in space. If they are full of killing intentions, there is no reason to avoid destroying the Earth to massively hinder Samus.
