With Ren, Kurapika has the pseudo-passive ability to: paralyze Black Star with fear, drive him insane, or just kill him with the sheer intensity of his aura. Black Star doesn't have Ten so he has no protection to Ren.

Yeah that's not gonna work here. Black Star has a rather heafty resistance to the madness and can even low dif Chrona with no raise in his own insanity whatsoever. Black Star can stand in front of, and even physically brawl with what is essenially the god of fear, and not be affected by Asura's madness-inducing wavelength. In fact, this is Black Star's sixth sense that allows him to resist mentle and soul manipulation. And once again, Black Star and Tsubaki are a pair so Kurapika isn't fighting just one person. He's fighting partners that are perfectly in synchronized with each other.

And if that's what we're doing then Tsubaki and Black Star can do the same thing. They can possess a person's soul and control them. What does Kurapika do then?

Kurapika hasn't even been exposed to the world outside of his clan for long at all, there's no way he has more experience than Black Star, a trained assassin who attends a school that teaches you to kill demons. Kurapika was trained for like 6 months by some guy in a forest, Black Star was raised at the DWMA by Sid, a 3 star meister and someone who is trusted by gods. Not to mention his assassin lineage.

Uvo was phsyically the most powerful but Kurapika's powers are tailored around beating Troupe members. Kurapika would have been put in the ground if he couldn't use Chain Jail or Judgement Chain. Even if Black Star were equal to Uvo, Kurapika would lose. His arm was shattered in one punch from Uvo, who is weaker than Black Star. Black Star would have cut the arm off. Black Star uses sharp weapons, Kurapika would diced within seconds. And we know Black Star's shadow are much faster than he is so how is Kurapika dealing with those???

He has to use his eyes to place the nen blade on your heart, and his eyes literally shave away his life span. Even if Black Star were hit by it, he can outrange Kurapika with shadow clones, shadows, Tsubaki's chain, or just toss Tsubaki herself out there. Kurapika is worse on every front barring intelligence, so how can he win?

We've never even seen Kurapika use that first off. Second, Kurapika has no resistance to being controlled by the shadow sword AND Black Star is faster than him, so would be get blitzed and controlled and killed.

Not madness, being controlled by the shadow sword. That is the shadow swords passive ability.

Is that all speed? If that's the case, that's dumb. Black Star's attack speed is one of his strong points.
