Batman vs Nagito Komaeda

He survives a plane crash while everyone else died....and he didn't do anything. A truck failed to squash him into a pancake due the vending machine....did I already mentioned the vending machine was still in one piece even after getting slammed by a container truck from high up.

yes, and that means his luck only affects specific things
That's very vague, what do you mean by specific things? He only wanted his LUCK to choose the "traitor" to be the killer. The intention of the murder was for the innocents to fail and die and he did a lot of preparation into masking the "murder" into a "suicide".

So, what was your point?

by eyxtension he wanted the innocents to fail just as much but his luck wouldent do itfor him, that alone means that he needed to prepare for it because his luck couldent affect that many things

yeah, and he got terminal sickness, had his parents die and etcetera. the bigger the thing is the bigger the side effects. batman could just do things that would kill him and if his luck stopped those hed get a beigger backlash then he can take

What happens next is their choice and the effects of the murder is the one that will take care of their choice and for them to fail was the intention of the murder itself not luck. Again, all what luck did there was choose the traitor to be the murderer.

If it wasn't for the traitor confessing that she murdered Nagito, it would've likely been Game Over for them.

I'm not denying his luck doesn't have side effects (which the ones who suffers them was actually those who around him, not Nagito himself.). I'm talking about your claim about his luck doesn't work on random things. Finding a winning lottery ticket on trash can, emptied a vending machine with one coin, those sounds like random things to me.

Let me clear things up a bit.

  • Motive of the murder: To make them misunderstand the murder and think that it is suicide to get them killed. Now, Nagito created a second plan, in case they may know Nagito's motive all along and that it is a murder not a suicide then they wouldn't know who did Nagito "pick" with his luck.
  • Motive of the preparation: To mask the traitor, (His preparation)
  • Process of Murder: The traitor throwing the poison, (Luck's Job)
  • Effects of the murder: It looked like suicide so they thought it was suicide at the first half of the trial since that's how it looked like when the murder happened. (This is not the luck's job)
  • Conclusion of the class trial: The traitor confessed. They almost died because they didn't know which would be the murderer of his choice.
It was pretty flawless, what was wrong about that? What luck only did was to choose the traitor to be the murderer.

He didn't planned to emptied that vending machine (In fact, he thought he was unlucky when the vending machine didn't responded for a moment), he didn't planned to find a winning lottery ticket in the trash can, he didn't even planned narrowly dodge getting squashed like a bug when a truck was dropped onto him from outta nowhere.

Yes, his lucks works when he didn't even wishes for it.

Okay, lets change it with something else.

Which are the means for Nagito to beat Batman?

Weapons are useless seeing how Bats is several tiers above Nagito, so his luck would need to relie in something enviromental.

What is the best DC of his luck?

yeah, hes luck only worked on what he planned, and didnt affect an unplanned effect
What? He didn't wish for his luck to mask the traitor in the first place, so why would it happen? He's the one that did the job already anyways. His luck isn't flawless and it isn't always lucky but nothing's stopping it from making him survive the bombing of the factory and the possible death of Mr. Batman.

If he can attempt it on Alter Ego (Izuru/Hajime) in SDR 2.5, what's stopping him from doing it to Batman? Izuru only survived the suicide because he has luck and that's Nagito and his luck without prep, Nagito can likely find a way to kill two birds with one stone.

All he has to do is throw a grenade randomly and Batman might die, in case if that didn't, the whole factory explodes and Batman dies while he lives. (Nagito has prep too).

If it wasn't for the traitor confessing, then it would've been Game Over. All his luck did what choose the "traitor" as the murderer, so what was your point?

Not Anime (1)
Hmm

He didn't plan the part where he got kidnapped and later got freed and discovered a winning lottery ticket for three million yen in the garbage bag the murderer kidnapped him in, did he?

If so, then he's an absolute genius that he predicted and planned that he would get his three million yen with his luck after getting kidnapped by a serial killer.

Okay, then he can harm him.

How much time took those events to happen?
Just as Homu said,
They take seconds only, I have never seen them took like more than a minute or so. If it did happen once or twice, I might've forgotten.
