Barney Stinson vs Sam Puckett

Sam Puckett would easily win in close-quarters combat, given that she's stomped MMA fighters before. However, Barney does have the range advantage with his birds and pistols (the latter of which he doesn't often use in-character, granted). I'm voting for Barney because of his range advantage, and because he'd likely be more inclined to use his firearms in a fight.

Yeah, this might be a stomp. Although I think that Barney wouldn't be inclined to use his pistol immediately so as long as Sam could avoid his pyrotechnics she'd be able to get him with her butter sock. It would all rely on whether or not Barney would be able to either avoid her hit or if he could resist it in order to deal a winning blow with either a slap or any assortment of his weapons.
It is also possible that Barney may be able to keep Sam at bay with his summoning and win with a crucial attack from there. So I'd say Barney as well due to his high versatility and prowess.

I don't believe it's a stomp, since both characters have decent victory conditions. Barney has better range and versatility, but Sam would easily win in close-quarters.
