Any thoughts on Ichigo’s sword and him being back in his old get up? Besides the call backs and what not lol. Or do you share the same opinion as Arc with the blade from within and blade is me thing?

i really lean on "the blade is me" theory cus i don't think ichigos whole progression of accepting both as his sides as his power would be just thrown out on the streets

We have no info to make conclusions on Ichigo's Zanpakuto frankly. I wouldn't be surprised if Kubo just forgot honestly.
I would hope it's Ichigo being in tune with his Zanpakuto that it's shape changed to what he found more comfortable.

With the massive cliffhanger, a new arc and its name literally given to us at the end of the chapter as well as instead of having the chapter end on "...end", it's ".../end". Apparently there'll be Bleach news in the next issue or something, which might have to do with the manga.

Hey, I just noticed that Szayel said “So Lonely” when he first appeared behind Renji. That was said about the fishes at the start of the chapter.
Also, when Szayel said they “kill the Hollows” in front of Ukitake. He meant they killed the “Ghouls” former Hollows in front of the Substitute Shinigami badge inside Ichigo’s ropes.

I noticed that as well. And according to the ritual , you must kill the hollow where the soul is resting.
Would that mean that Ukitake's soul , or at least a piece, was inside the badge ?
also , the more i learn about Bleach's cosmology and the mechanics behind it , the more i become a Yhwach supporter of crushing it all down and rebuilding it from the groud up. Shit is ****** .

Re-reading the chapter again, that Zangetsu is definitely either Ichigo's Shikai or sealed Zanpakuto. Why? Because he has it on his back for the entire time, before even the Hell Hollows started attacking. It would make 0 sense for him to go Bankai for this ritual when everyone else there is with a sealed Zanpakuto.
The other possibility is still for this to be a final form of his Zanpakuto, beyond the need of a Shikai or Bankai, but then why would this form look like a normal Shinigami form for Ichigo? The Dangai form was supposed to be something like that, but for the Fake Zanketsu, and that form was quite different.
IMO the former is much more likely than the latter, but we'll see in the future chapters.

In all seriousness, the Captains go to Hell where they can continue to exist and fight for eternity. The alternative for weak souls is to lose their memories and go reincarnate as a new person. Assuming the Hellverse laws applies if killed in Hell you come back, basically, you are immortal.

I've been reading comments about the "Will-O'-Wisp" is the Reiatsu inside the Reishi (as Soifon and Shunshui called it) of the soul fragments of Ukitake's reishi body. And that the Captains themselves are not send to Hell, but their Reiatsu to power up Hell and break the balance in Hell by having a better amount of Reiatsu than the World of the Living and Soul Society. And that the reason we may see the Captains as villains is because Szayelaporro can create clones of people. Others say Szayelaporro was killed by the Warden of Hell using Ukitake's obtained "Will-O'-Wisp".
