Most of Baba's stats are based on a blog post done a while ago. I made a new blog post of Baba stat calcs that put Baba at slightly different tiers than the original. The original had Baba at 9-A, possibly High 4-C. I put Baba at Varies from 10-C to High 4-C, possibly 3-B. Link to my blog post. I'll copy+paste the text here, though.
Saikou The Lewd King made a blog post to calculate Baba's stats 5 years ago Link. However, there are many issues with it which I will address here.
First and foremost is this strange idea that Baba is a sheep (don't worry I thought this too at first). It is never confirmed or stated anywhere that Baba is a sheep. In fact the creator of the game, Hempuli, has said the closest real life equivalent to Baba is a Sea Bunny. In any case, Baba is just Baba. So then, without a real life equivalent to compare to, how do we determine Baba's size? Actually, the creator of Baba is You has an official answer:
So based on that, we can conclude that Babas can have an extremely variable size. This makes narrative sense, as in some levels we see Baba comparable to small animals, and in others Baba is comparable to larger objects like cars.
Next, there is a claim that Baba moves across the screen at 9 tiles per second. I believe Saikou The Lewd King must not have known you can use secondary controls at the same time as base controls (You can move Baba with WASD and Arrow Keys), so Baba actually moves across the screen at 18 tiles per second!
As for how much Baba varies in size, we can compare to in-game objects that do have a real life counterpart:
Here is a collage of Baba having a size comparable to various different objects. Many don't have exact weights/sizes, but do have weight ranges. In the case where there's a range, I'll take the largest value in the range. Of course, while the size may be accurate, there's no telling what Baba is made of, so the mass (and thus KE) is likely inaccurate.
The next section of Saikou's blog post goes into detail about how to interpret LEVEL. To me, this is a very unusual interpretation. A level's size is compared to Baba while considering Baba to be the size of a sheep. However Baba's size changes drastically between levels, so this would mean each level should have a totally different size. Also, the concept of a level is kind of breaking the fourth wall, and is, in my opinion, impossible to quantify in terms of real world values.
We might want to anyways though, as the range on Baba's abilities is restricted by the level size (which means that Baba's range varies). The maximum level width in the game's editor is 33 tiles wide (higher with debug mode but who cares). So for each size Baba can have, we can determine how big the max level size is relatively. For example, as a bee, the level (and Baba's attack range) is thirty-three times the width of a bee. Of course, this is very strangely implying that Baba's Law Manipulation has different ranges depending on how large Baba is.
So a whole level can range from anywhere between a little over a meter to 140 light years. If we want to give a very strange and terrible, but generous Cosmology measurement for Baba, we can do the following:
One of the big reveals halfway through the game is that the worldmap you access levels through is itself a level. This implies the entire game is levels within levels. Here is the hierarchy:
If we high-ball this as much as possible, we assume The End is 140ly, and then each layer above is 33x the size of the lower layer. This gives a total cosmological size of 140*33^6 light years, or 1.9x the size of the observable universe.
If we care about that at all, it means Baba's ALL IS DONE ability 3-A/Universal AP and Range. So, the same as what's already there. (ALL IS DONE erases all of reality).
This is of course Baba's main means of doing anything. Here's a gif:
That is a gif of Baba empowering itself with Law Manipulation to create an explosion that annihilates 33*18*4 stars, and anything that would be between them. Now I'm going to calculate this feat in a different way. Hopefully you all think it's fine. The number of stars in the Milky Way divided by the Volume of the Milky Way is 0.07 stars/ly^3. So for each light year cubed, Baba can expect to destroy 0.07 stars. Baba destroys 2376 stars. That means the area affected is very roughly equal to 33943ly^3. The attack speed is also basically instant, let's say 0.1s. In 0.1s, Baba generated an explosion that annihilated 2376 stars.
Here's another gif:
Here we see Baba using Law Manipulation to empower itself to move extremely quickly. In theory Baba could move thousands of times faster than this, but the game starts to lag or even crash if you do that. Anyways, in that gif Baba is moving back and forth across the length of these stars. Each DUST is 4.018x10^16 meters, so multiple that by 240 and we get 9.6432x10^18meters/0.1s, or a velocity of 9.6x10^19m/s (still Massively FTL+). Of course as stated before, Baba could theoretically be thousands of times faster than this (if you add more MOVEs than that, another game mechanic gets in your way and doesn't allow rules to parse) if the game didn't crash, so Baba's speed could be as high as 9.6x10^23m/s, or something like that.

- Baba compares to a Bee (Small Size Type 2)
- Bees can weigh 0.00085kg, be up to 0.039 meters long, so baba also gets those measurements
- Baba travels 18x that distance in 1s, which is a velocity of 0.702m/s (Below Average Human)
- This gives Baba 0.00020944J of KE (10-C)
- Baba compares to a Bat (Small Size Type 1)
- Bats can weigh 1.6kg, and be 0.34m long
- Baba travels at 18x0.34 meters over 1s, which is a velocity of 6.12m/s (Average Human)
- That gives Baba a KE of 30 Joules (10-C)
- Baba compares to a dog (for this, I'll consider a Bull Terrier (Small Size Type 0), even though it could be any breed of dog)
- Bull Terriers can weigh 32kg, and apparently, they can be 0.98m long
- This gives Baba a velocity of 17.6m/s (Superhuman)
- This gives Baba a KE of 4.956kJ (9-C)
- Baba compares to a car (Large Size Type 0)
- Cars can weigh 1524kg, and be 4.877 meters
- This gives Baba a velocity of 87.786m/s (Subsonic)
- This gives Baba a KE of 5.872MJ (9-B)
- Baba compares to a house (Large Size Type 1)
- Houses weigh about 274423kg Source, and are roughly 14.63 meters wide (based on 2200 sqft)
- This gives Baba a velocity of 263.34m/s (Subsonic+)
- This gives Baba a KE of 9.515GJ (High 8-C)
- Baba compares to a Rocket Ship (Large Size Type 2). I'll consider NASA's Saturn V for this.
- The Saturn V weighs 2966000kg and is 110.6 meters tall
- This gives Baba a velocity of 1990.8m/s (Hypersonic)
- This gives Baba a KE of 1.405 kilotons of TNT (Low 7-C)
- Baba compares to a mountain (Large Size Type 3). This one is shaky, as SPIKE only barely looks like a distant mountain. It can reasonably be interpreted as a craggy terrain as well. I'll be very generous and use Mount Everest as a comparison.
- Mount Everest is 162 trillion kg, and 8849 meters tall
- This gives Baba a velocity of 159282m/s (Massively Hypersonic)
- This gives Baba a KE of 4.909 trillion tons of TNT (Low 6-B)
- Baba compares to a planet! (Large Size Type 5) The planet Baba compares to is most similar to Saturn among planets familiar to us in the solar system, so I'll use it as reference
- Saturn weighs 5.683x10^26 kg, and is 116,600,000 meters in diameter
- This gives Baba a velocity of 2,099,000,000m/s (FTL)
- This gives Baba a KE of 2.992x10^35 tons of TNT (High 4-C)
- Finally, Baba compares to STAR, SUN, and DUST. These ones are somewhat iffy; STAR and SUN don't really look like they represent actual stars or the actual sun imo. DUST does look like four distant, twinkling stars, though. It is intended to be a stand-in for stardust, which might mean it's part of a star cluster or nebula. There's also a CLOUD object, which in addition to representing clouds in the sky, could also represent nebulae when CLOUD objects appear in space levels along with stars. I think the original calc page is good enough for this, which is interpreting DUST as four stars, as DUST is the one that looks the most like what it represents. (So Large Size Type 6?)
- four times the GBE for a single star is 4.937x10^35 kg
- The distance between two random stars is impossible to determine. I'll be conservative and use the distance from us to Proxima Centauri, so 4.018x10^16 meters
- This gives Baba a velocity of 7.2324x10^17m/s (Massively FTL+)
- This gives Baba a KE of 3.086x10^61 tons of TNT (3-B)
Regarding LEVEL
The next section of Saikou's blog post goes into detail about how to interpret LEVEL. To me, this is a very unusual interpretation. A level's size is compared to Baba while considering Baba to be the size of a sheep. However Baba's size changes drastically between levels, so this would mean each level should have a totally different size. Also, the concept of a level is kind of breaking the fourth wall, and is, in my opinion, impossible to quantify in terms of real world values.

For example, as a bee, the level (and Baba's attack range) is thirty-three times the width of a bee. Of course, this is very strangely implying that Baba's Law Manipulation has different ranges depending on how large Baba is.
- Range as a bee: 1.287 meters (Extended Melee Range)
- Range as a bat: 11.22 meters (Tens of Meters)
- Range as a Bull Terrier: 29.7 meters (Tens of Meters)
- Range as a car: 160.941 meters (Hundreds of Meters)
- Range as a house: 482.79 meters (Hundreds of Meters)
- Range as a rocket ship: 3649.8 meters (Kilometers)
- Range as a mountain: 292,017 meters (Hundreds of Kilometers)
- Range as a planet: 3,847,800,000 meters (Stellar)
- Range as DUST: 1.32594 × 10^18 meters/140.15ly (Interstellar)
So a whole level can range from anywhere between a little over a meter to 140 light years. If we want to give a very strange and terrible, but generous Cosmology measurement for Baba, we can do the following:
One of the big reveals halfway through the game is that the worldmap you access levels through is itself a level. This implies the entire game is levels within levels. Here is the hierarchy:
- NULL, which contains
- Map, which contains
- ???, which contains (note that ??? also contains Map)
- Depths, which contains
- Meta, which contains
- Center, which contains
- The End
If we high-ball this as much as possible, we assume The End is 140ly, and then each layer above is 33x the size of the lower layer. This gives a total cosmological size of 140*33^6 light years, or 1.9x the size of the observable universe.
If we care about that at all, it means Baba's ALL IS DONE ability 3-A/Universal AP and Range. So, the same as what's already there. (ALL IS DONE erases all of reality).
Baba's Optional Equipment and Law Manipulation
- The mass of 2376 stars is 2.932×10^38 kg
- The distance Baba's attack traveled is the cube root of 33943ly^3, which is 3.063×10^17 meters
- The velocity is distance over time, so 3.063x10^18m/s
- This gives a total Kinetic Energy of 3.286x10^65 tones of TNT (still 3-B)
Here's another gif:
Here we see Baba using Law Manipulation to empower itself to move extremely quickly. In theory Baba could move thousands of times faster than this, but the game starts to lag or even crash if you do that. Anyways, in that gif Baba is moving back and forth across the length of these stars. Each DUST is 4.018x10^16 meters, so multiple that by 240 and we get 9.6432x10^18meters/0.1s, or a velocity of 9.6x10^19m/s (still Massively FTL+).
