How can you tell the difference apart?

What are some ways to tell the difference through atomizing stuff through AP vs Doing it through Hax?

I'm pretty sure atomization through AP is impossible, and any atomization feat is hax.

if we're talking vaporization or something that's fair, but even the most powerful impacts in the universe don't just turn things into lone atoms.

If that's true why do we calc some feats with atomization and subatomization?

No clue.

Edit:
I think those are still listed as hax as well as AP tho.
I've heard on the wiki (long ago) that there's a distinction between "punching with so much force you break atoms with sheer force" vs "my supernatural energy system deletes atoms!"

Well while it is actually impossible to atomize things with pure physical force in reality, in fiction this is a possibility.

And that's actually pretty much it.

Pretty sure that is possible in reality? Like, literally just turn something into a plasma or something.

If you do it via a simple energy beam or heat or something you can probably AP it.

Ah cool

I asked this because I believe there maybe a verse that has a calc being incorrectly applied because the atom stuff comes from a supernatural source of power instead of just "I hit that hard"

What if the verse establishes a UES between this supernatural energy that breaks atoms with raw power.

The power aspect comes with them cloaking their body with this energy and imbuing it into their attacks.

Would it be valid to use an atomization calc then?

or

would it still be hax and not valid to use for calcs?

False. Read the calculation page. I'm too lazy to go in depth.
I've read the calc page.

There's the IRL scientific definition of atomization which includes any fine particle (Which includes plasma) and atomization in fiction, which can mean turning something into lone atoms.
The latter is what I was talking about, while not really thinking of the former.

Case-by-case. Depends on detailed explanations, consistency, contradictions etc.

Would you like to see some scans to judge it with the verse in particular I'm asking this for?

I'm inclined to say it's hax based instead of ap based

If you want to revise it, you could just go straight towards making a CRT instead of posting the evidence here first.
