I was doing a re-read of fire force and I noticed something about what shinra said here. He mentions how some of the attempts he made while traveling back he ended up off to the side. Which means he was traveling sideways through time. That implies the existence of perdendicular time axis.

This would expand the cosmology for having an additional time axis and range for shinrabanshoman.

What makes you think this is referring to time axis and not just his movement? Since it just seems to be referring to how he travelled multiple times to get into the right position to knock the light away

I just interpreted it has how it is shown in the Anime.
He just ****** up the creation of the world, so he time traveled to correct it and kick the ball back to normal, over and over again
