There are 2 reasons why I think that is is a surprisingly close match:

1: The Quaggled Mireclops doesn't have much counterplay to aerial attacks (as far as I know). Its heavy, bulky body is extremely inflexible and adapted to attack enemies below it. Its only real option is that tongue attack and its downwards slam. One of these probably isn't very effective against anything bigger than a bug, and the other stuns the Mireclops after use. I can't visualize this hefty hunk of dirt swatting a bat out of the air or flailing one off of its body.
2: Its head would probably be susceptible to a strike from a bat. Even with its crystal armor, one of its eyes, which is pretty much just a thin vine, is still wide open to attack. The other is encased in crystal, so it's probably not very effective for sight. This all goes without mentioning that this weak spot is probably going to be the first thing that a swooping attacker lands a good hit on, as it's at the very top of its body.

The fight could very much just be the bat landing on the Mireclops, the Mireclops being unable to do anything about it but stomp back and forth and repeat the same attacks, and eventually getting blinded after its feeble eye is torn off (which could be inconclusive or a win through incapacitation if you want to argue one of those). There is definitely some room for refutation, but I doubt that it's a stomp
